YOM TERUAH Prayer Guide

Day of Blowing Trumpets

** This year we will observe Yom Teruah for two days, as in NehemYah 8.  On sept. 18 at sundown, we will open Yom Teruah with the Prayer & Shofar service below.  On Shabbat morning (sept. 19), we will have Sabbath Services and will read the Scriptures from morning to midday (Neh. 8:3). On the second day (sept. 20) in the morning, we will gather again to praise, worship, and study/discuss Scripture (Neh. 8:13).

This is only a prayer 'GUIDE' for observing Yom Teruah. You can take from it or add to it as the Set-Apart Spirit leads you.  For this guide, you will need: The Scriptures, 2 candles, wine/grape juice, and a shofar. [If you do not have a shofar, a shout of praise with your voice will do.]

KIDDUSH—Blessing the Wine & Setting Apart the Day
Blessed are You, YAHUAH our Elohim, Sovereign of the universe, Who creates the fruit of the vine. (All: So be it!)
Blessed are You, YAHUAH our Elohim, Sovereign of the universe, Who has chosen us from every people, exalted us above every tongue, and set us apart with His commands. And You gave us YAHUAH our Elohim, with love, this Day of Remembrance, a day of shofar blowing, a set-apart gathering, a memorial of the Exodus from Mitsrayim and the return from Babel. For You have chosen us and You have set us apart above all the peoples, and Your word is true and established forever. Blessed are You, YAHUAH, Sovereign over the entire earth, Who sets apart Yisra’el and the Day of Remembrance. (All: So be it!)
Blessed are You, YAHUAH our Elohim, Sovereign of the universe, Who has kept us alive, sustained us, and brought us to this season. (All: So be it!)           [Leader sips the wine and shares with others gathered.]

Barchu
Leader: Bless YAHUAH, the Blessed One.
CongBlessed is YAHUAH, the Blessed One, forever and ever.
Leader: Blessed, praised, esteemed, exalted and upraised is the Name of the Sovereign Who rules over sovereigns—the Set-Apart One, Blessed is He. For He is the First and He is the Last and aside from Him there is no mighty-one. Extol Him—Who rides the highest heavens—by His Name, YAH, and exult before Him. His Name is exalted beyond every blessing and praise. Blessed be the Name of YAHUAH from this time and forever.
Blessed are You, YAHUAH, our Elohim, Sovereign of the universe, Whose word brings on evenings. You open the gates of dawn with wisdom, change the day’s divisions with understanding, set the succession of seasons, and arrange stars in the sky according to Your will. You create day and night, removing light before darkness and darkness before light. You cause day to pass and bring night, and separate between day and night—YAHUAH, Master of Hosts, is Your Name. May the Living and Enduring Elohim continuously reign over us, forever and ever. Blessed are You, YAHUAH, Who brings on evenings.

SHEMA
(All) With an everlasting love have You loved the House of Yisra’el, Your nation. Torah and commands, laws and right-rulings have You taught us. Therefore, YAHUAH, our Elohim, when we lie down and when we rise up, we will discuss Your laws and we will rejoice with the words of the study of Your Torah and with Your commands forever. For they are our life and the length of our days and about them we will meditate day and night. May You not remove Your love from us forever. Blessed are You, YAHUAH, Who loves His nation Yisra’el.

Sh’ma Yisra’el: YAHUAH Eloheynu, YAHUAH Echad.
Hear O Israel: YAHUAH our Elohim, YAHUAH is One.

Blessed is the Name of His esteemed sovereignty forever and ever.

“And you shall love YAHUAH your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your might. And these words which I am commanding you today shall be in your heart, and you shall impress them upon your children, and shall speak of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up, and shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” (Deb. 6:5-9)

“And you shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Way. 19:18)

Leader: “For Elohim so loved the world that He gave His only brought-forth Son, so that everyone who believes in Him should not perish but possess everlasting life.” (Yoh. 3:16)

PRAISE & WORSHIP (music or selected praise psalms from Scripture)

 SHEMONEH ESREI—AMIDAH

Patriarchs
Blessed are You, YAHUAH, our Elohim and the Elohim of our forefathers, Elohim of Abraham, Elohim of Yitshaq, and Elohim of Ya’aqob; the great, mighty, and awesome Elohim, the Most High Elohim, Who bestows beneficial kindnesses and creates everything, Who recalled the kindnesses of the Patriarchs and brought a Redeemer to their children’s children for His Name’s sake, with love. Remember us for life, O Sovereign Who desires life, and inscribe us in the Book of Life—for Your sake, O Living Elohim. O Sovereign, Helper, Savior, and Shield. Blessed are You, YAHUAH, Shield of Abraham and Father of our Master and Redeemer Yahushuah the Messiah.

Might of Elohim
You are forever mighty, my Master, the Resuscitator of the dead are You; abundantly able to save, Who makes the dew descend; Who sustains the living with kindness, resuscitates the dead with abundant compassion, supports the fallen, heals the sick, releases the confined, and maintains His trustworthiness to those asleep in the dust. Who is like You, O Master of mighty deeds, and who is comparable to You, O Sovereign Who causes death and restores life and makes salvation sprout! Who is like You, Compassionate Father, Who recalls His creatures compassionately for life! And You are trustworthy to resuscitate the dead. Blessed are You, YAHUAH, Who resuscitates the dead.

Set-Apartness of the Name of Elohim

You are set-apart and Your Name is set-apart, and set-apart ones praise You every day, forever, for You are Elohim, the great and set-apart Sovereign.

From generation to generation proclaim Elohim as Sovereign, for He alone is exalted and set-apart.

And so, too, may Your Name be set apart, O YAHUAH, our Elohim, upon Yahushuah, Your Anointed; upon Yisra’el, Your people; upon Yerushalayim, Your city; upon Tsiyon, the resting place of Your esteem; upon the sovereignty of the House of David; and upon Your Dwelling and Your Set-Apart Place.

And so, too, O YAHUAH, our Elohim, instill Your awe upon all Your works, and Your fear upon all that You have created.  Let all works revere You and all creatures prostrate themselves before You. Let them all become a single nation, to do Your will wholeheartedly. For as we know, YAHUAH, our Elohim, that the rule is Yours, might is in Your hand and strength is in Your right hand, and Your Name inspires awe over all that You have created.

And so, too, O YAHUAH, grant esteem to Yahushuah, Your Son, and everlasting Light to the Root and Offspring of David; grant esteem to Your people, praise to those who revere You, good hope to those who seek You, and eloquent speech to those who hope to You; gladness to Your land and joy to Your city—speedily, in our days.

And so, too, the righteous will see and be glad, the upright will exult, and the kind ones will be joyful with glad song.  Iniquity will close its mouth and all wickedness will evaporate like smoke, when You will remove evil’s rule from the earth.

Then You--Who are YAHUAH, our Elohim—will reign speedily alone over all Your works, on Mount Tsiyon, resting place of Your esteem; and in Yerushalayim, Your set-apart city; as it is written in Your set-apart writings:  YAHUAH shall reign forever—your Elohim, O Tsiyon—from generation to generation, HalleluYah!

You are Set-Apart and Your Name is Awesome, and there is no mighty one other than You, as it is written: YAHUAH, Master of Hosts, will be lifted high in judgment, and the Set-Apart Elohim will be set-apart in righteousness. Blessed are You, YAHUAH, the Set-Apart Sovereign.

Setting Apart the Day

You have chosen us from all peoples; You loved and found favor in us; You exalted us above all the tongues and You set us apart with Your commands.  You drew us close, our Sovereign, to Your service and proclaimed Your great and Set-Apart Name upon us. And You gave us, YAHUAH, our Elohim, with love this Day of Remembrance, a day of sounding of the shofar, a set-apart gathering, a memorial of the Exodus from Mitsrayim and the return from Babel.

Our Elohim and the Elohim of our forefathers, may there rise, come, reach, be noted, be favored, be heard, be considered, and be remembered—the remembrance of the Messiah Yahushuah, Son of David, Your servant; the remembrance of our forefathers; the remembrance and consideration of ourselves; the remembrance of Yerushalayim, the City of Your set-apartness; the remembrance of Your entire people the Family of Yisra’el—before You for deliverance, for goodness, for favor, for kindness, and for compassion, for good life, and for peace on this Day of Remembrance.  Remember us on it, YAHUAH, our Elohim, for goodness, consider us on it for blessing, and help us on it for good life.  In the matter of salvation and compassion, pity, show us favor and compassion and help us, for our eyes are turned to You, because You are Elohim, the Sovereign Who shows favor and compassion.

Our Elohim and the Elohim of our forefathers, reign over the entire universe in Your esteem; be exalted over all the world in Your splendor, reveal Yourself in the excellent splendor of Your strength over all the dwellers of Your inhabited world.  Let everything that has been made know that You are its Maker, let everything that has been molded understand that You are its Molder, and let everything with a life’s breath in its nostrils proclaim: ‘YAHUAH, the Elohim of Yisra’el, is Sovereign, and His sovereignty rules over everything!’  Set us apart with Your commands and grant us our share in Your Torah; satisfy us from Your goodness and gladden our beings with Your salvation.  And purify our heart to serve You sincerely.  For You are the True Elohim, and Your Word is true and endures forever.  Blessed are You, YAHUAH, Sovereign over all the world, Who sets apart Yisra’el and the Day of Remembrance.

Service of the Set-Apart Place
Show favor, YAHUAH, our Elohim, toward Your people Yisra’el, turn to their prayer and restore the service to the Most Set-Apart Place of Your House. Speedily accept the fire-offerings of Yisra’el and their prayer with love and favor, and may the service of Your people Yisra’el always be favorable to You.
May our eyes behold Your return to Tsiyon in compassion. Blessed are You, YAHUAH, Who restores His Presence to Tsiyon.

Thanksgiving
We gratefully thank You, for it is You Who are YAHUAH, our Elohim and the Elohim of our forefathers forever; our Rock, the Rock of our lives, Shield of our salvation are You from generation to generation. We shall thank You and relate Your praise—for our lives, which are committed to Your power and for our souls that are entrusted to You; for Your miracles that are with us every day; and for Your wonders and favors in every season—evening, morning, and afternoon. The Beneficent One, for Your compassions were never exhausted, and the Compassionate One, for Your kindnesses never ended—for we have always put our hope in You.
For all these, may Your Name be blessed, exalted and extolled, our Sovereign, continually forever and ever. And inscribe all the children of Your covenant for a good life. Everything alive will gratefully acknowledge You, Selah! And praise and bless Your great Name sincerely, forever, for it is good. O Elohim of our salvation and help, Selah! The beneficent Elohim. Blessed are You, YAHUAH, Your Name is ‘The Beneficent One’ and to You it is fitting to give thanks.

Peace
Establish peace, goodness, blessing, life, favor, kindness, and compassion upon us and upon all Yisra’el. Bless us our Father, all of us as one, with the Light of Your countenance, for with the Light of Your countenance You gave us, YAHUAH our Elohim, the Torah of life and a love of kindness, righteousness, blessing, compassion, life, and peace in our Messiah Yahushuah. And may it be good in Your eyes to bless us and to bless all of Your people Yisra’el, in every season and in every hour with Your abundant strength and peace.
In the book of life, blessing, and peace, and good livelihood, good decrees, salvations and consolations, may we be remembered and inscribed before You—we and Your entire people the Family of Yisra’el for a good life and for peace. Blessed are You, YAHUAH, Who blesses His people Yisra’el with peace.

T’filat HaTalmidim—Prayer of the Taught-Ones:

‘Our Father who is in the heavens, let Your Name be set-apart, let Your reign come, let Your desire be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into trial, but deliver us from the wicked one – because Yours is the reign and the power and the esteem, forever. [So be it].   (Matt 6:9-13)

(All)  May the expressions of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart find favor before You, YAHUAH, my Rock and my Redeemer, in the Name of Yahushuah HaMashiach, Son of the Living Elohim.

(All) My Elohim, guard my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking deceitfully. To those who curse me, let my soul be silent; and let my soul be like dust to everyone. Open my heart to Your Torah, then my soul will pursue Your commands. As for all those who oppose and design evil against me, speedily nullify their counsel and disrupt their design. May it be Your will, YAHUAH, my Elohim and the Elohim of my forefathers, that human jealousy may not rise up against me, nor my jealousy upon others; may I not become angry today, and may I not anger You. Rescue me from all evil inclinations, and place in my heart submissiveness and humility. O our Sovereign and our Elohim, cause Your Name to be unified in Your world; rebuild Your city, lay the foundation of Your House, perfect Your Set-Apart Place; gather in the scattered exiles, redeem Your sheep, and gladden Your congregation. Act for Your Name’s sake; act for Your right hand’s sake; act for Your Torah’s sake; act for the sake of Your Set-Apartness. That Your beloved ones may be given rest; let Your right hand save, and respond to me.
May the expressions of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart find favor before You, YAHUAH, my Rock and my Redeemer. He Who makes peace in His heights, may He make peace upon us, and upon all Yisra’el. In the Name of Yahushuah, So be it.

MALCHUYOT: Proclaiming the Sovereignty of Elohim

(Leader) Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: YAHUAH our Elohim, YAHUAH is One!  And you shall know today, and shall recall to your heart that YAHUAH Himself is Elohim in the heavens above and on the earth beneath; there is none else. YAHUAH reigns forever and ever. For the reign belongs to YAHUAH, And He is ruling over the nations. YAHUAH shall reign, He shall put on excellency; YAHUAH shall put on strength; He shall gird Himself. Indeed, the world is established, immovable. Your throne is established from of old; You are from everlasting. Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And let the Sovereign of esteem come in. Who is this Sovereign of esteem? YAHUAH strong and mighty, YAHUAH mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O you gates! Even lift up, you everlasting doors! And let the Sovereign of esteem come in. Who is this Sovereign of esteem? YAHUAH of hosts, He is the Sovereign of esteem! Selah. And YAHUAH shall be Sovereign over all the earth. In that day there shall be one YAHUAH, and His Name One. HalleluYah, for YAHUAH Ěl Shaddai reigns!

—Sound the Shofar—

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Tsiyon! Shout, O daughter of Yerushalayim! See, your Sovereign is coming to you, He is righteous and endowed with deliverance, humble and riding on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey. (Zek. 9:9)

And Elohim said, “Let light come to be,” and light came to be. And Elohim saw the light, that it was good. And Elohim separated the light from the darkness. (Ber/Gen 1:3-4)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim. He was in the beginning with Elohim. All came to be through Him, and without Him not even one came to be that came to be. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (Yoh/Joh 1:1-5)

“Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, the way of the sea, beyond the Yardĕn, Galil of the gentiles – the people who sat in darkness saw a great light, and upon those who sat in the land and shadow of death, light arose to them.” (Matt. 4:15-16)

Therefore יהושע spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall by no means walk in darkness, but possess the light of life.” (Yoh/Joh 8:12)

“While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” (Yoh/Joh 9:5)

He was the true Light, which enlightens every man, coming into the world. (Yoh/Joh 1:9)

And they sing the song of Mosheh the servant of Elohim, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and marvellous are Your works, יהוה Ěl Shaddai! Righteous and true are Your ways, O Sovereign of the set-apart ones! “Who shall not fear You, O יהוה, and esteem Your Name? Because You alone are kind. Because all nations shall come and worship before You, for Your righteousnesses have been made manifest.” (Rev 15:3-4)

And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written: SOVEREIGN OF SOVEREIGNS AND MASTER OF MASTERS. (Rev. 19:16)

“ ‘Blessed is the Sovereign who is coming in the Name of יהוה!’ Peace in heaven and esteem in the highest!” (Luk 19:38)

“Hoshia-na! Blessed is He who is coming in the Name of יהוה, the Sovereign of Yisra’ĕl!” (Yoh/Joh 12:13)

 —Sound the Shofar—

“Then the Sovereign shall say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the reign prepared for you from the foundation of the world – " (Mat 25:34)

"and from יהושע Messiah, the trustworthy witness, the first-born from the dead, and the ruler of the sovereigns of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us sovereigns and priests to His Elohim and Father, to Him be esteem and rule forever and ever. Amĕn." (Rev 1:5-6)

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a set-apart nation, a people for a possession, that you should proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light, who once were not a people, but now the people of Elohim; who had not obtained compassion, but now obtained compassion. (1Kepha/Pet 2:9-10)

“The one who overcomes shall inherit all this, and I shall be his Elohim and he shall be My son." (Rev 21:7)

And they sang a renewed song, saying, “You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals, because You were slain, and have redeemed us to Elohim by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and made us sovereigns and priests to our Elohim, and we shall reign upon the earth.” (Rev 5:9-10)

—Sound the Shofar—

(All) Our Elohim and the Elohim of our forefathers, reign over the entire universe in Your esteem; be exalted over all the world in Your splendor, reveal Yourself in the excellent grandeur of Your strength over all the dwellers of Your inhabited world. Let everything that has been made know that You are its Maker, let everything that has been molded understand that You are its Molder, and let everything with a life’s breath in its nostrils proclaim: ‘YAHUAH, the Elohim of Yisra’el is Sovereign, and His Sovereignty rules over everything!’  Set us apart with Your commands and grant us our share in Your Torah; satisfy us from Your goodness and gladden us with Your salvation. And purify our heart to serve You sincerely. For You are the true Elohim, and Your Word is True and endures forever. Blessed are You, YAHUAH, Sovereign over all the world, Who sets apart Yisra’el and the Day of Remembrance.

—Sound the Shofar—

ZICHRONOT: Elohim Remembers His Covenants

(Leader)  YAHUAH Elohim made a covenant with Noah: YAHUAH spoke to Noah and to his sons with him saying, “And I, see, I establish My covenant with you and with your seed after you, and with every living creature that is with you” (Gen/Ber. 9:9,10).

YAHUAH Elohim made a covenant with Abraham saying, “And I shall establish My covenant between Me and you and your seed after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be Elohim to you and your seed after you. And I shall give to you and your seed after you the land of your sojournings, all the land of Kena’an, as an everlasting possession. And I shall be their Elohim” (Gen/Ber. 17:7,8).

He also swore to Abraham, “I shall certainly bless you, and I shall certainly increase your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore, and let your seed possess the gate of their enemies. And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice” (Gen/Ber. 22:17,18).

YAHUAH Elohim made a covenant with the Yahudim during the time of Mosheh. He said to us, “And now, if you diligently obey My voice, and shall guard My covenant, then you shall be My treasured possession above all the peoples—for all the earth is Mine—and you shall be to Me a reign of priests and a set-apart nation” (Ex/Shem. 19:5,6).

YAHUAH Elohim made a covenant with David: “I have made a covenant with My chosen, I have sworn to My servant David: I establish your seed forever, and shall build up your throne to all generations,” promising that the Messiah of Yisra’el and the Savior of the world, would come through him, and He would rule over Yisra’el and the nations forever and ever (Ps/Teh. 89:3,4).

YAHUAH Elohim made a new and everlasting covenant through Messiah Yahushuah, the Son of Noah, the Son of Abraham, the Prophet like Mosheh, and the Son of David, saying He will give Him for a ‘covenant to the people, for a light to the gentiles.’  “See the days are coming, declares YAHUAH, when I shall make a new covenant with the house of Yisra’el and with the house of Yehudah. For this is the covenant I shall make with the house of Yisra’el after those days, declares YAHUAH: I shall put My Torah in their inward parts, and write it on their hearts. And I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people. For I shall forgive their crookedness, and remember their sin no more.” (Is/Yesh. 42:6; Jer/Yirm. 31:31-34; Heb/Ibr. 8:10)

—Sound the Shofar—

Remember His covenant forever, The Word He commanded for a thousand generations, Which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Yitsḥaq, And He established it to Yaaqob for a law, To Yisra’ĕl as an everlasting covenant, Saying, “To you I give the land of Kena’an, The portion of your inheritance,” (1Dibr/Chr 16:15-18)

“Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to יהוה, to serve Him, and to love the Name of יהוה, to be His servants, all who guard the Sabbath, and not profane it, and hold fast to My covenant – them I shall bring to My set-apart mountain, and let them rejoice in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their slaughterings are accepted on My altar, for My house is called a house of prayer for all the peoples.” (Yesh/Isa 56:6-7)

For the intense longing of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of Elohim. For the creation was subjected to futility, not from choice, but because of Him who subjected it, in anticipation, that the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage to corruption into the esteemed freedom of the children of Elohim. For we know that all the creation groans together, and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only so, but even we ourselves who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, we ourselves also groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. (Rom 8:19-23)

The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of Elohim, and if children, also heirs – truly heirs of Elohim, and co-heirs with Messiah, if indeed we suffer with Him, in order that we also be exalted together. (Rom 8:16-17)

And if you are of Messiah, then you are seed of Abraham, and heirs according to promise. (Gal 3:29)

The gentiles to be co-heirs, united in the same body, and partakers together in the promise in Messiah through the Good News, of which I became a servant according to the gift of the favour of Elohim given to me, according to the working of His power. (Eph 3:6-7)

He saved us, not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to His compassion, through the washing of rebirth, and renewal by the Set-apart Spirit, which He poured out on us richly through יהושע Messiah our Saviour, that having been declared right by His favour we should become heirs according to the expectation of everlasting life. (Tit 3:5-7)

In this way Elohim, resolving to show even more clearly to the heirs of promise the unchangeableness of His purpose, confirmed it by an oath, so that by two unchangeable matters in which it is impossible for Elohim to lie, we might have strong encouragement, we who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the expectation set before us, which we have as an anchor of the life, both safe and firm, and entering into that within the veil, where יהושע has entered as a forerunner for us, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Malkitsedeq. (Ibr/Heb 6:17-20)

And all matters are from Elohim, who has restored us to favour with Himself through יהושע Messiah, and has given us the service of restoration to favour, that is, that Elohim was in Messiah restoring the world to favour unto Himself, not reckoning their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of restoration to favour. (2Cor 5:18-19 )

But when He saw the crowds, He went up on a mountain. And when He was seated His

taught ones came to Him.

And having opened His mouth, He was teaching them, saying,

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, because theirs is the reign of the heavens.

“Blessed are those who mourn, because they shall be comforted.

“Blessed are the meek, because they shall inherit the earth.

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, because they shall be filled.

“Blessed are the compassionate, because they shall obtain compassion.

“Blessed are the clean in heart, because they shall see Elohim.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, because they shall be called sons of Elohim.

“Blessed are those persecuted for righteousness’ sake, because theirs is the reign of the heavens.

“Blessed are you when they reproach and persecute you, and falsely say every wicked word against you, for My sake.

“Rejoice and be glad, because your reward in the heavens is great. For in this way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Mat.5:1-12)

יהושע said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he dies, he shall live. “And everyone that is living and believing in Me shall never die at all. Do you believe this?”  (Yoh/Joh 11:25-26 )

  —Sound the Shofar—

(All)  Our Elohim and the Elohim of our forefathers, remember us with a favorable remembrance before You, recall us with a recollection of salvation and compassion from the highest heavens.  Fulfill for us, YAHUAH, our Elohim, the matter that You promised in Your Torah, through Moshe, Your servant, from Your esteemed expression, as it is said: And I shall remember for them the covenant of the early ones, whom I have taken out of the land of Mitsrayim before the eyes of the nations, to be their Elohim; I am YAHUAH.  For it is You Who forever remembers all forgotten things, and there is no forgetfulness before Your Throne of Esteem, and may You compassionately remember today Your Son Yahushuah Who is the completion of all Your covenants.  Blessed are You, YAHUAH, Who remembers the covenants.

—Sound the Shofar—

SHOFAROT: Shofar Blasts

(Leader) Elohim shall go up with a shout, YAHUAH with the sound of a ram’s horn. With trumpets and the sound of a horn; Raise a shout before YAHUAH, the Sovereign. Shout for joy to Elohim our strength; Raise a shout to the Elohim of Ya’aqob. Lift up a song and beat the tambourine, the pleasant lyre and with the harp. Blow the ram’s horn at the time of the New Moon, at the full moon, on our festival day. For this is a law for Yisra’ĕl, and a right-ruling of the Elohim of Ya’aqob. All inhabitants of the world, and you that dwell on the earth: When a banner is lifted up on the mountains, look! And when a ram’s horn is blown, hear! And in that day it shall be that a great horn is blown, and those who were perishing in the land of Ashshur and the outcasts in the land of Mitsrayim shall come, and shall worship YAHUAH on the set-apart mountain, in Yerushalayim. Because the Master Himself shall come down from heaven with a shout, with the voice of a chief messenger, and with the trumpet of Elohim. Praise Yah! Praise Ěl in His set-apart place; Praise Him in His mighty expanse! Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! Praise Him with the blowing of the ram’s horn; Praise Him with the harp and lyre! Praise Him with tambourine and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with sounding cymbals; Praise Him with resounding cymbals! Let all that have breath praise YAH. Praise YAH!

—Sound the Shofar—

“You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt becomes tasteless, how shall it be seasoned? For it is no longer of any use but to be thrown out and to be trodden down by men.

“You are the light of the world. It is impossible for a city to be hidden on a mountain.

“Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand, and it shines to all those in the house.

“Let your light so shine before men, so that they see your good works and praise your Father who is in the heavens. (Mat.5:13-16)

“Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to complete. For truly, I say to you, till the heaven and the earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done. Whoever, then, breaks one of the least of these commands, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the reign of the heavens; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the reign of the heavens." (Mat.5:18-19)

“See, the days are coming,” declares  יהוה, “when I shall make a new covenant   with the house of Yisra’ĕl and with the house of Yehuḏah

“Because this is the covenant that I shall make with the house of Yisra’ĕl after those days, says יהוה, giving My laws in their mind, and I shall write them on their hearts, and I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people. (Yirm/Jer.31:31, Ibr/Heb 8:10)

For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Messiah, for it is the power of Elohim for deliverance to everyone who believes, to the Yehuḏite first and also to the Greek.

For in it the righteousness of Elohim is revealed from belief to belief, as it has been written, “But the righteous shall live by belief.”

For the wrath of Elohim is revealed from heaven against all wickedness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,

because that which is known of Elohim is manifest among them, for Elohim has manifested it to them.

For since the creation of the world His invisible qualities have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, both His everlasting power and Mightiness, for them to be without excuse,

because, although they knew Elohim, they did not esteem Him as Elohim, nor gave thanks, but became vain in their reasonings, and their undiscerning heart was darkened. (Rom.1:16-21)

There is, then, now no condemnation to those who are in Messiah יהושע, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

For the Torah of the Spirit of the life in Messiah יהושע has set me free from the law of sin and of death.

For the Torah being powerless, in that it was weak through the flesh, Elohim, having His own Son in the likeness of flesh of sin, and concerning sin, condemned sin in the flesh,

so that the righteousness of the Torah should be completed in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the matters of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the matters of the Spirit.

For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace.

Because the mind of the flesh is enmity towards Elohim, for it does not subject itself to the Torah of Elohim, neither indeed is it able, and those who are in the flesh are unable to please Elohim.

But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of Elohim dwells in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Messiah, this one is not His.

And if Messiah is in you, the body is truly dead on account of sin, but the Spirit is life on account of righteousness. (Rom.8:1-10)

—Sound the Shofar—

The Master יהוה, who gathers the outcasts of Yisra’ĕl, declares, “I gather still others to him besides those who are gathered to him.” (Yesh/Isa 56:8)

And He shall raise a banner for the nations, and gather the outcasts of Yisra’ĕl, and assemble the dispersed of Yehudah from the four corners of the earth. (Yesh/Isa 11:12)

And in that day there shall be a Root of Yishai, standing as a banner to the people. Unto Him the gentiles shall seek, and His rest shall be esteem. (Yesh/Isa 11:10)

—Sound the Shofar—

(All) Our Elohim and the Elohim of our forefathers, sound the great shofar for our freedom, raise the banner to gather our exiles. Draw our scattered ones near from among the nations, and bring in our dispersions from the ends of the earth! Thank You YAHUAH, for bringing us to Tsiyon, Your City, in glad song, and to Yerushalayim, home of Your Set-Apart Place, in everlasting joy. For You hear the sound of the shofar and You give ear to the teruah, and none is comparable to You. Blessed are You, YAHUAH, Who hears the shofar-sound of His people Yisra’el with compassion.

The prayers below can be said individually or together at any time.

FOR A PERSONAL REVELATION OF ELOHIM
YAHUAH, our Elohim and Elohim of our fathers. We ask you to reveal Yourself to us and give each one of us a personal revelation of who You are. Moshe said that we must each personally come to know you in every generation, and Yahushuah told us that we are to ask You, our heavenly father, who He (Yahushuah) is, and then expect You to reveal it to us. We cannot do Your will unless we know Your voice. May the Word, prayer, and prophetic revelation give us daily manna, to know You better, and to draw us into ever increasing intimacy with our Bridegroom, Yahushuah. In Yahushuah’s Name, So be it!

THE LOVE OF ELOHIM IN US
YAHUAH, our Elohim and Elohim of our fathers. Your love is shed abroad in our hearts by the Set-Apart Spirit that is given to us. (Romans 5:5) As Your love is in us, we commit ourselves to be more like You, showing lovingkindness, forgiveness, mercy and compassion to all. Your word says, "Beloved ones, let us love one another, because love is of Elohim, and everyone who loves has been born of Elohim, and knows Elohim. The one who does not love does not know Elohim, for Elohim is love." (1 John/ 1 Yoh. 4:7-8) Let Your love rule our flesh and soul, that we may grow spiritually and be conformed to Your image, which is our reasonable service. In Yahushuah’s Name, So be it!

THE FATHER’S LOVE
YAHUAH, our Elohim and Elohim of our fathers. You have bestowed a great love upon us, that we should be called the children of Elohim. (1 John/1 Yoh. 3:1) We have entered Your Reign by humbling ourselves, turning to You in repentance, and becoming as little children. (Matt. 18:3) Abba father, we come before You today to receive Your love anew, a love that never fails, and to experience the wonderful truth that we are "favored in the Beloved." (Eph. 1:6) We come in belief to you, desiring freedom in our lives from past hurts and disappointments. We make the choice today to forgive our earthly fathers for every way in which they failed to be the father to us that You called them to be. I release my father to You, and forgive him. I believe what Your Word says about You as my heavenly father. I receive Your unconditional love. I declare that the enemy's power of rejection over me is broken. Bless me, enlarge my territory, and keep me from evil. Give me fresh vision, heal my heart and fill it with Your love, joy, and peace. In Yahushuah's Name, So be it!

BONDAGE BREAKING
YAHUAH, our Elohim and Elohim of our fathers. Your word says that in Messiah we are renewed creatures, and that old matters have passed away and all matters have become renewed! (2 Cor. 5:17) But some of the "old matters", sinful attitudes and behaviors, still rule areas of my life and have not passed away. I'm not yet living an overcomer’s life. So I now invite Your Word to divide between soul and spirit in me. (Heb/Ibr. 4:12) I know that my spirit passed from death to life when I was Born Again, but my soul and flesh, that is my mind, emotions and body, did not. According to Your Word, my spirit cannot sin, so the battle therefore is between my spirit and my flesh for the control of my mind. (1John/1Yoh. 3:9 Gal.5:16-17) You said for us to be set-apart, as You are set-apart. (1 Peter 1:16) You said, "If you love Me, you shall guard My commands." (John/Yoh. 14:15) I have tried to keep Your commands and be set-apart, and avoid doing the will of the flesh by will power, but I have not succeeded. But, by the blood of Messiah Yahushuah, You gave me a recreated spirit, devoid of any sin. I now choose, in Yahushuah's Name, to abide in You, and I now tell my body and emotions to be in submission to my spirit. I now disassociate my personal identity from sin in my flesh, and will no longer self-identify with sin. I will no longer say, "I am just a critical person," or "I am frequently depressed," or " I have always been prone to lust," or "That is just my temperament, the way I am." Rather, I will now recognize no one, especially not myself, after my flesh, (2 Cor. 5:16) but will now identify myself only with my true nature, my spirit, and Messiah in me, the hope of Esteem. In Yahushuah’s Set-Apart Name, So be it!

VISION
YAHUAH, our Elohim and Elohim of our fathers. Vision is one of our most valuable possessions and we desire to increase it. We want to know our purpose, and to see our vision grow and fulfill it. We will resist discouragement, as it comes to blind us and cause us to lose our vision. We will resist fear, knowing that fear is not of You, and that it will keep us from fulfilling our calling. But we will walk in belief knowing that You are with us, and abiding with You we will always see the way to go. If we fear only You, we will not fear anything else. We will follow our vision, as far as we can see. The walls around us of fear, and the fences which are delusions, will not be able to stop us as long as we can see further. You will always provide us with the food and water we need for the journey. Let hunger and thirst keep us moving forward. When we find refreshments, let us rest as long as they last, and then keep going. We will not let wounds or mistakes suffered on the journey turn us back, or return to bondage because of disappointments or failures. We choose belief over fear, and we will keep going until we fulfill our calling. Thank You for the patience and discipline we need to endure, for the greatest treasure is at the end of the longest, most difficult journey. We believe in the Set-Apart Spirit's power and ability to lead us into all truth over the enemy's ability to deceive. We will walk in our calling, knowing that if we don't follow it, we will lose it. "For many are called but few are chosen” (Matt. 20:16) Many will come to the wedding feast, but few will be the bride. In Yahushuah’s Name, So be it!

OUR SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY
YAHUAH, our Elohim and Elohim of our fathers. We desire to exercise the authority You give us in the Word to heal and deliver, keep our homes and families, and take ground for Your Reign. We will come to You and renew our inner man day by day. (2Cor. 4:16) By this, we will cultivate a meek and gentle spirit. We will love our neighbor as ourselves. As our inner man becomes more conformed to Your image, we will gain more of Your authority. We will walk trusting Your Word, doing what it says, and obeying Your commands. Our belief in Your Word puts our hearts at ease. Satan will no longer be able to linger in our presence when we say to him, "YAHUAH rebuke you satan by the power of the blood of Yahushuah!" He will then have to flee. For Yahushuah has given us “the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy,” and none at all shall hurt us (Luke 10:19). We're trusting You Abba, in every situation, through Yahushuah. Thank You for all spiritual authority. In Yahushuah’s Name, So be it!

BREAKING GENERATIONAL CURSES
YAHUAH, our Elohim and Elohim of our fathers. Deuteronomy/Debarim 30:19 says that You set before us life and death, blessing and cursing, and that we must choose life if we and our future generations are to live. We know that satan can operate in any area of darkness that we still allow in our lives. Exodus/Shemoth 20:5 and 34:7 say that if we worship other mighty ones, even the third and forth generation may suffer because we have turned away from You. Perhaps there are people in my life that have opened doors for curses to be placed upon me, to which I need to apply the blood of Yahushuah to break these curses. Perhaps the propensity in my family for certain medical problems is a result of generational curses, and is not "physiological" or "genetic" in origin - areas which You are in control of anyway. It is up to me to make sure that satan doesn't gain access to the next generation, as the blood of Yahushuah will make him stop here, now. I will stand up and fight. If Yahushuah died to release me from all sickness, oppression and poverty, I will no longer sit back and allow the enemy to take any more ground from me. Release in me today Your power and weaponry. Revelation 12:11 says that satan is overcome by the blood of the Lamb, the word of our witness, and loving not our lives unto death. I now apply the blood of Yahushuah with hyssop, or belief, and the enemy must now "pass over" me. The things which I speak, my witness, will be positive, not negative, about overcoming rather than defeat, about strength over weakness. My witness will rebuke the sin that surrounds me, and not allow myself or my children to be attached to areas of darkness by not speaking up. (1 Samuel/1Shemuel 3:13) Perhaps others have had an influence on me, or perhaps I have attached myself to areas of darkness that demons can operate in, and I have not yet closed all the doors to these powers. I now CONFESS SIN, AND ALL THE NEGATIVITY that I have spoken. I chase away that darkness with the Light of Yahushuah, and break its power. I REPENT AND TURN AWAY, I CHANGE MY MIND. I will not walk away from You YAHUAH in this area anymore. I will not put myself in the hands of the devil any longer, but voluntarily I will now follow You YAHUAH in these areas of my life. Repentance will be my lifestyle. I will LIVE FOR YOU and keep my deliverance. Your ANOINTING destroys the yoke. As I live in the Light of Yahushuah, my anointing will be stronger. I plead the blood of Yahushuah for Your anointing to come over me. I release myself under Your anointing, break the yoke in me. I APPLY THE BLOOD of Yahushuah, knowing that Your blood destroys the curses I suffer, and I now confess the INIQUITY OF MY FOREFATHERS...(Lev. 25:40-42)...In Yahushuah's Name, So be it!

MOAD PRAYER—A Prayer for the Appointed Season
YAHUAH, our Elohim and Elohim of our fathers, You have given us this day as a time to examine and judge ourselves, to joyfully bring harvest offerings to You, and to look forward to Messiah’s return. We remember Yahushuah, our great High Priest, Who brought His own precious blood, the blood of atonement, into Your Most Set-Apart Place. Through His blood, which cleanses us from sin, we now have our consciences purified from guilt and condemnation, and can serve You in love, with pure devotion. You will bring this age to a close with a Shofar call heralding a new age. Then, nations shall learn war no more, the lion and the lamb shall lay down together in peace, and Your Name shall be One over all the earth. In that day, Yisra’el shall be delivered and dwell in peace, and all the nations shall come to Your Light. Renewed Yerushalayim and the restored Dwelling Place will be established, with priests and Levites from among all peoples. And from one New Moon to another, from one Sabbath to another, and on the appointed season of Sukkot, all flesh shall come to worship before You. We dedicate ourselves to You today for Your purposes, as living offerings. We set ourselves apart to You, and we seek Your will. Wherever You want us to go, we will go. Whatever you want us to do, we will do. And whatever You want us to say, we will say. If there is anything You want us to change, show us, and we will do it. We seek You, and desire Your Set-Apart Spirit, Your manifest Presence that breaks every yoke. Let it rest upon us, and we will overcome! In the Name of Yahushuah, so be it!
