Day of Atonement

This prayer guide is for BEGINNERS--those who have never observed Yom Kippur in Messiah Yahushuah.  If you observed Yom Kippur  last year with Messiah Yahushuah as your atonement, then click HERE for the Yom Kippur in the Reign of Elohim guide.

This is only a prayer 'GUIDE' for observing Yom Kippur. You can take from it or add to it as the Set-Apart Spirit leads you.  For this guide, you will need: The Scriptures, 2 candles, and a shofar. [If you do not have a shofar, a shout of praise with your voice will do.]

Barchu
Leader: Bless YAHUAH, the Blessed One.
CongBlessed is YAHUAH, the Blessed One, forever and ever.
Leader: Blessed, praised, esteemed, exalted and upraised is the Name of the Sovereign Who rules over sovereigns—the Set-Apart One, Blessed is He. For He is the First and He is the Last and aside from Him there is no mighty-one. Extol Him—Who rides the highest heavens—by His Name, YAH, and exult before Him. His Name is exalted beyond every blessing and praise. Blessed be the Name of YAHUAH from this time and forever.
Blessed are You, YAHUAH, our Elohim, Sovereign of the universe, Whose word brings on evenings. You open the gates of dawn with wisdom, change the day’s divisions with understanding, set the succession of seasons, and arrange stars in the sky according to Your will. You create day and night, removing light before darkness and darkness before light. You cause day to pass and bring night, and separate between day and night—YAHUAH, Master of Hosts, is Your Name. May the Living and Enduring Elohim continuously reign over us, forever and ever. Blessed are You, YAHUAH, Who brings on evenings.

SHEMA
(All) With an everlasting love have You loved the House of Yisra’el, Your nation. Torah and commands, laws and right-rulings have You taught us. Therefore, YAHUAH, our Elohim, when we lie down and when we rise up, we will discuss Your laws and we will rejoice with the words of the study of Your Torah and with Your commands forever. For they are our life and the length of our days and about them we will meditate day and night. May You not remove Your love from us forever. Blessed are You, YAHUAH, Who loves His nation Yisra’el.

Sh’ma Yisra’el: YAHUAH Eloheynu, YAHUAH Echad.
Hear O Israel: YAHUAH our Elohim, YAHUAH is One.

Blessed is the Name of His esteemed sovereignty forever and ever.

“And you shall love YAHUAH your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your might. And these words which I am commanding you today shall be in your heart, and you shall impress them upon your children, and shall speak of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up, and shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” (Deut/Deb. 6:5-9)

“And you shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Lev/Way. 19:18)

Leader: “For Elohim so loved the world that He gave His only brought-forth Son, so that everyone who believes in Him should not perish but possess everlasting life.” For this day, YAHUAH makes atonement for you, to cleanse you, to be clean from all your sins before YAHUAH. (John/Yoh. 3:16; Lev/Way. 16:30)

SHEMONEH ESREI—AMIDAH
Patriarchs
Blessed are You, YAHUAH, our Elohim and the Elohim of our forefathers, Elohim of Abraham, Elohim of Yitshaq, and Elohim of Ya’aqob; the great, mighty, and awesome Elohim, the Most High Elohim, Who bestows beneficial kindnesses and creates everything, Who recalled the kindnesses of the Patriarchs and brought a Redeemer to their children’s children for His Name’s sake, with love. Remember us for life, O Sovereign Who desires life, and inscribe us in the Book of Life—for Your sake, O Living Elohim. O Sovereign, Helper, Savior, and Shield. Blessed are You, YAHUAH, Shield of Abraham and Father of our Master and Redeemer Yahushuah the Messiah.

Might of Elohim
You are forever mighty, my Master, the Resuscitator of the dead are You; abundantly able to save, Who makes the dew descend; Who sustains the living with kindness, resuscitates the dead with abundant compassion, supports the fallen, heals the sick, releases the confined, and maintains His trustworthiness to those asleep in the dust. Who is like You, O Master of mighty deeds, and who is comparable to You, O Sovereign Who causes death and restores life and makes salvation sprout! Who is like You, Compassionate Father, Who recalls His creatures compassionately for life! And You are trustworthy to resuscitate the dead. Blessed are You, YAHUAH, Who resuscitates the dead.

Set-Apartness of the Name of Elohim
You are set-apart and Your Name is set-apart, and set-apart ones praise You every day, forever, for You are Elohim, the great and set-apart Sovereign.
From generation to generation proclaim Elohim as Sovereign, for He alone is exalted and set-apart.
And so, too, may Your Name be set apart, O YAHUAH, our Elohim, upon Yahushuah, Your Anointed; upon Yisra’el, Your people; upon Yerushalayim, Your city; upon Tsiyon, the resting place of Your esteem; upon the sovereignty of the House of David; and upon Your Dwelling and Your Set-Apart Place.
And so, too, O YAHUAH, our Elohim, instill Your awe upon all Your works, and Your fear upon all that You have created. Let all works revere You and all creatures prostrate themselves before You. Let them all become a single nation, to do Your will wholeheartedly. For as we know, YAHUAH, our Elohim, that the rule is Yours, might is in Your hand and strength is in Your right hand, and Your Name inspires awe over all that You have created.
And so, too, O YAHUAH, grant esteem to Yahushuah, Your Son, and everlasting Light to the Root and Offspring of David; grant esteem to Your people, praise to those who revere You, good hope to those who seek You, and eloquent speech to those who hope to You; gladness to Your land and joy to Your city—speedily, in our days.
And so, too, the righteous will see and be glad, the upright will exult, and the kind ones will be joyful with glad song. Iniquity will close its mouth and all wickedness will evaporate like smoke, when You will remove evil’s rule from the earth.
Then You—Who are YAHUAH, our Elohim—will reign speedily alone over all Your works, on Mount Tsiyon, resting place of Your esteem; and in Yerushalayim, Your set-apart city; as it is written in Your set-apart writings: YAHUAH shall reign forever—your Elohim, O Tsiyon—from generation to generation, HalleluYah!
You are Set-Apart and Your Name is Awesome, and there is no mighty one other than You, as it is written: YAHUAH of Hosts, is exalted in judgment, and the Set-Apart El is set-apart in righteousness. Blessed are You, YAHUAH, the Set-Apart Sovereign.

Setting Apart the Day
You have chosen us from all peoples; You loved and found favor in us; You exalted us above all the tongues and You set us apart with Your commands. You drew us close, our Sovereign, to Your service and proclaimed Your great and Set-Apart Name upon us. And You gave us, YAHUAH, our Elohim, with love this Day of Atonement, for pardon, forgiveness, and atonement, and to pardon all our iniquities on it, a set-apart gathering, a memorial of the Exodus from Mitsrayim.
Our Elohim and the Elohim of our forefathers, may there rise, come, reach, be noted, be favored, be heard, be considered, and be remembered—the remembrance of the Messiah Yahushuah, Son of David, Your servant; the remembrance of our forefathers; the remembrance and consideration of ourselves; the remembrance of Yerushalayim, the City of Your set-apartness; the remembrance of Your entire people the Family of Yisra’el—before You for deliverance, for goodness, for favor, for kindness, and for compassion, for good life, and for peace on this Day of Atonement. Remember us on it, YAHUAH, our Elohim, for goodness, consider us on it for blessing, and help us on it for good life. In the matter of salvation and compassion, pity, show us favor and compassion and help us, for our eyes are turned to You, because You are Elohim, the Sovereign Who shows favor and compassion.
Our Elohim and the Elohim of our forefathers, pardon our iniquities on this Day of Atonement. Wipe away and remove our willful sins and errors from before Your eyes, as it is said: “I, I am He Who blots out your transgressions for My own sake, and remember your sins no more.” And it is said: “I shall wipe out your transgressions like a cloud, and your sins like a mist. Return to Me, for I shall redeem you.” And it is said: “For on that day he makes atonement for you, to cleanse you, to be clean from all your sins before YAHUAH.” And it is said: “If anyone sins, we have an Intercessor with the Father, YAHUSHUAH Messiah, a righteous One. And He Himself is an atoning offering for our sins, and not for ours only but also for all the world.” Set us apart with Your commands and grant us our share in Your Torah; satisfy us from Your goodness and gladden our being with Your deliverance. And purify our heart to serve You sincerely. For You are the Forgiver of Yisra’el and the Pardoner of the tribes of Yeshurun in every generation, and other than You we have sovereign who pardons and forgives—only You! Blessed are You, YAHUAH, the Sovereign Who pardons and forgives our iniquities and the iniquities of His people, the Family of Yisra’el, and removes our sins continuously, every single year, Sovereign over all the world, Who sets apart Yisra’el and the Day of Atonement.

Service of the Set-Apart Place
Show favor, YAHUAH, our Elohim, toward Your people Yisra’el, turn to their prayer and restore the service to the Most Set-Apart Place of Your House. Speedily accept the fire-offerings of Yisra’el and their prayer with love and favor, and may the service of Your people Yisra’el always be favorable to You.
May our eyes behold Your return to Tsiyon in compassion. Blessed are You, YAHUAH, Who restores His Presence to Tsiyon.

Thanksgiving
We gratefully thank You, for it is You Who are YAHUAH, our Elohim and the Elohim of our forefathers forever; our Rock, the Rock of our lives, Shield of our salvation are You from generation to generation. We shall thank You and relate Your praise—for our lives, which are committed to Your power and for our souls that are entrusted to You; for Your miracles that are with us every day; and for Your wonders and favors in every season—evening, morning, and afternoon. The Beneficent One, for Your compassions were never exhausted, and the Compassionate One, for Your kindnesses never ended—for we have always put our hope in You.
For all these, may Your Name be blessed, exalted and extolled, our Sovereign, continually forever and ever. And inscribe all the children of Your covenant for a good life. Everything alive will gratefully acknowledge You, Selah! And praise and bless Your great Name sincerely, forever, for it is good. O Elohim of our salvation and help, Selah! The beneficent Elohim. Blessed are You, YAHUAH, Your Name is ‘The Beneficent One’ and to You it is fitting to give thanks.

Peace
Establish peace, goodness, blessing, life, favor, kindness, and compassion upon us and upon all Yisra’el. Bless us our Father, all of us as one, with the Light of Your countenance, for with the Light of Your countenance You gave us, YAHUAH our Elohim, our Messiah Yahushuah—the Torah of life and a love of kindness, righteousness, blessing, compassion, life, and peace. And may it be good in Your eyes to bless us and to bless all of Your people Yisra’el, in every season and in every hour with Your abundant strength and peace.
In the book of life, blessing, and peace, and good livelihood, good decrees, salvations and consolations, may we be remembered and inscribed before You—we and Your entire people the Family of Yisra’el for a good life and for peace. Blessed are You, YAHUAH, Who blesses His people Yisra’el with peace.

(All) May the expressions of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart find favor before You, YAHUAH, my Rock and my Redeemer.

(All) My Elohim, guard my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking deceitfully. To those who curse me, let my soul be silent; and let my soul be like dust to everyone. Open my heart to Your Torah, then my soul will pursue Your commands. As for all those who oppose and design evil against me, speedily nullify their counsel and disrupt their design. May it be Your will, YAHUAH, my Elohim and the Elohim of my forefathers, that human jealousy may not rise up against me, nor my jealousy upon others; may I not become angry today, and may I not anger You. Rescue me from all evil inclinations, and place in my heart submissiveness and humility. O our Sovereign and our Elohim, cause Your Name to be unified in Your world; rebuild Your city, lay the foundation of Your House, perfect Your Set-Apart Place; gather in the scattered exiles, redeem Your sheep, and gladden Your congregation. Act for Your Name’s sake; act for Your right hand’s sake; act for Your Torah’s sake; act for the sake of Your Set-Apartness. That Your beloved ones may be given rest; let Your right hand save, and respond to me.
May the expressions of my heart and the thoughts of my heart find favor before You, YAHUAH, my Rock and my Redeemer. He Who makes peace in His heights, may He make peace upon us, and upon all Yisra’el. In the Name of Yahushuah, So be it.

VIDUY/CONFESSION

(All)   YAHUAH, our Elohim and Elohim of our fathers! Let our prayers come before You, and do not hide Yourself from our supplication. We are not so arrogant nor hardened to say, "We are righteous and have not sinned." For truly we and our forefathers have sinned.

We have trespassed, we have betrayed, we have stolen, we have spoken slander. We have caused perversion, we have caused wickedness, we have sinned willfully, we have extorted, we have spoken lies, we have blasphemed. We have counseled evil, we have been deceitful, we have scorned, we have rebelled, we have provoked. We have turned away, we have been perverse, we have acted wantonly, we have persecuted, we have oppressed, we have been stubborn. We have acted presumptuously, we have been violent, we have dealt deceitfully, we have been wicked, we have corrupted, we have done wrong, we have been abominable. We have gone astray—You let us go astray—and we have led others astray.
We have turned away from Your good commands and from Your good laws but to no avail. ‘And in all that has come upon us You are righteous, for You have done truth, but we have done wrong.’
What can we say before You, Who dwells on high, and what can we relate to You, Who abides in the highest heavens—for indeed, everything that is hidden and revealed You know.
You know the secrets of the universe, and the hiddenmost mysteries of all the living. You search all inmost parts and test our thoughts and our heart. Nothing is hidden from You and nothing is concealed from Your eyes. And so may it be Your will, YAHUAH our Elohim and the Elohim of our forefathers, that You atone for us all our errors, and You forgive us for all our iniquities, and You pardon us for all our willful sins by the Blood of Yahushuah the Messiah. Thank You, YAHUAH, that You forgive us, pardon us, and atone for us through Yahushuah. For it is written: "If we confess our sins, He is trustworthy and righteous to forgive us the sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John/Yoh.1:9)

For the sin we have committed against You willingly or under compulsion, and for the sin we have committed against You by hardening our hearts.

For the sin we have committed against You by demanding usurious interest, and for the sin we have committed against You by arrogance and pride.
For the sin we have committed against You by idle chatter, and for the sin we have committed against You by wanton glances and prying eyes.
For the sin we have committed against You with haughty eyes, And for the sin we have committed against You by brazenness and insolence.
For all these sins, O YAHUAH Elohim of forgiveness, forgive us, pardon us, and atone for us, in the Name, by the power, and through the blood of Yahushuah our Messiah.

For the sin we have committed against You by breach of trust, and for the sin we have committed against You with confusion of mind and heart.
For all these sins, O YAHUAH Elohim of forgiveness, forgive us, pardon us, and atone for us, in the Name, by the power, and through the blood of Yahushuah our Messiah.

For the sin we have committed against You by being lukewarm, and for the sin we have committed against You by not loving You with all our heart, being, and might.
For the sin we have committed against You by not hungering and thirsting for righteousness, and for the sin we have committed against You by not being poor in spirit.
For the sin we have committed against You by not being compassionate, and for the sin we have committed against You by withholding when we could have given.
For the sin we have committed against You by speaking foolish words, and for the sin we have committed against You by not controlling our tongues.
For the sin we have committed against You by not loving our neighbors, and for the sin we have committed against You by not blessing our enemies.
For the sin we have committed against You by not turning the other cheek, and for the sin we have committed against You by practicing righteousness for show.
For the sin we have committed against You by being proud, and for the sin we have committed against You by lack of zeal and laziness.
For all these sins, O YAHUAH Elohim of forgiveness, forgive us, pardon us, and atone for us, in the Name, by the power, and through the blood of Yahushuah our Messiah.

For the sin we have committed against You by not walking as Yahushuah walked, and for the sin we have committed against You by not being filled with Your Spirit.
For the sin we have committed against You by loving the world, and for the sin we have committed against You by loving the things in the world.
For the sin we have committed against You by putting other things before You, and for the sin we have committed against You by idolatry.
For the sin we have committed against You by not praying at all times, and for the sin we have committed against You by not being thankful.
For the sin we have committed against You by not being quick to forgive, and for the sin we have committed against You by holding resentments.
For the sin we have committed against You by not going the second mile, and for the sin we have committed against You by impatience.
For the sin we have committed against You by not doing to others as we desire them do to us, and for the sin we have committed against You by greed.
For the sin we have committed against You by being anxious about the things of this life, and for the sin we have committed against You by not trusting You to provide for all of our needs.
For the sin we have committed against You by setting our minds on the things below, and for the sin we have committed against You by not setting our minds on things above.
For all these sins, O YAHUAH Elohim of forgiveness, forgive us, pardon us, and atone for us, in the Name, by the power, and through the blood of Yahushuah our Messiah.

Those sins that are revealed to us we have already declared before You and confessed them to You; and those that are not revealed to us are revealed and known to You. As it is said, ‘The secret matters belong to YAHUAH our Elohim, but what is revealed belongs to us and to our children forever, to do all the Words of this Torah.’ For You are the Forgiver of Yisra’el and the Pardoner of the tribes of Yeshurun in every generation, and beside You we have no sovereign who pardons and forgives — only You.
—All kneel or lay prostrate—
My Elohim, before I was formed I was unworthy, and now that I have been formed, it is as if I had not been formed. I am dust in my life and will surely be so in my death. Behold—before You I am like a vessel filled with shame and humiliation. May it be Your will, YAHUAH, my Elohim and the Elohim of my forefathers, that I not sin again. And what I have sinned before You, may You wipe away with Your abundant compassion by the blood of Yahushuah, but not through suffering or serious illness.
[Quiet, personal confession & supplication before Elohim.]
Psalm/Tehillim 51

SELICHOT
(All) O YAHUAH, Elohim, Sovereign Who sits on the throne of compassion; Who acts with kindness, pardons the sins of His people, removes sins one by one, increasingly grants pardon to careless sinners and forgiveness to rebels, Who deals righteously with every living being—You do not repay them in accord with their evil.
(Leader) O Elohim, You taught us to recite the Covenant of Compassion, so remember for us today the covenant, as You made known to the humble one, Moshe, in ancient times, as it is written: And YAHUAH came down in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the Name, YAHUAH. And YAHUAH passed before him and proclaimed:
(All) ‘YAHUAH, YAHUAH, an El compassionate and showing favor, patient, and great in kindness and truth, watching over kindness for thousands, forgiving crookedness and transgression and sin, but by no means leaving unpunished, visiting the crookedness of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.” May You forgive our crookedness and our sins, and take us as Your inheritance. Forgive us, our Father, for we have erred; pardon us, our Sovereign, for we have willfully sinned; for You, YAHUAH, are good, and ready to forgive, and great in kindness to all those who call upon You.

(All) Give ear, O YAHUAH, to our prayers, and listen to the voice of our pleadings. Listen to the sound of our outrcry, our Sovereign and our Elohim, because we pray only to You. May Your ears pay heed and Your eyes be open, to be attentive to the prayers of Your servants, Your people Yisra’el. May You hear in heaven, Your Dwelling Place, their prayer and their supplication, and may You carry out their judgment. Forgive Your people who have sinned against You, and all their transgressions which they have transgressed against You.
As a father has compassion on his children, so YAHUAH, may You have compassion on us. Deliverance belongs to YAHUAH. Your blessing is on Your people. Selah. YAHUAH, Master of Hosts, is with us, a stronghold for us is the Elohim of Ya’aqob, Selah. YAHUAH, Master of Hosts, praiseworthy is the person who trusts in You. YAHUAH, save! May the Sovereign answer us on the day we call.

(Leader) Please forgive the crookedness of this people, according to the greatness of Your kindness, as You have forgiven this people, from Mitsrayim even until now. And there it was said: ‘And YAHUAH said, I shall forgive, according to your word!’

(All) Incline Your ear, my Elohim, and listen, open Your eyes and see our desolation and that of the city upon which Your Name is proclaimed; for not because of our righteousness do we cast down our supplications before You, rather because of Your abundant compassion. O my Master, heed; O my Master, be attentive and act, do not delay; for Your sake, my Elohim, because Your Name is proclaimed upon Your city and upon Your people.

(Leader) Remember, O YAHUAH, Your compassion and Your kindnesses, for they are from everlasting. Do not remember against us the crookednesses of the fathers! Let Your compassion speedily meet us, for we have been greatly weakened. Remember us, YAHUAH, when You show Your nation favor and visit us with Your deliverance. Remember Your congregation. You did purchase of old, the tribe of Your inheritance. You did redeem, this Mount Tsiyon where You have dwelt. Remember, O YAHUAH, the affection of Yerushalayim, may You never forget the love of Tsiyon. Remember, YAHUAH, against the sons of Edom the day of Yerushalayim, who said, ‘Lay it bare, lay it bare, to its foundation!’ You Yourself shall arise and have compassion on Tsiyon, for the time to favor her, the appointed time, has come. Remember Abraham, Yitshaq, and Yisra’el, Your servants, to whom You swore by Yourself, and said to them, ‘I increase your seed like the stars of the heavens. And all this land that I have spoken of I give to your seed, and they shall inherit it forever.’ Remember Your servants, Abraham, Yitshaq, and Ya’aqob. Do not look on the stubbornness of this people, or on their wrong or on their sin.

(Leader) Please do not hold against us the sin in which we have done foolishly and in which we have sinned. We have erred, our Rock; forgive us, our Molder.
(Leader) And it shall be forgiven all the congregation of the children of Yisra’el and the stranger who sojourns in their midst, because all the people did it by mistake.

(Leader) Remember for us the covenant of the Patriarchs, as You said: ‘I shall remember My covenant with Ya’aqob, and also My covenant with Yitshaq, and also remember My covenant with Abraham, and remember the land.’ Remember for us the covenant of the ancestors, as You said: ‘Then I shall remember for their sake the covenant of the ancestors whom I brought out of the land of Mistrayim before the eyes of the nations to be their Elohim. I am YAHUAH.’ Do with us as You promised us: ‘And yet for all this, when they are in the land of their enemies, I shall not reject them, nor shall I loathe them so as to destroy them and break My covenant with them. For I am YAHUAH their Elohim.’

(All) Have compassion on us and do not destroy us, as it is written: ‘For YAHUAH your Elohim is a compassionate El, He does not forsake you, nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which He swore to them.’ Expose our hearts to love Your Name, as it is written: ‘And YAHUAH your Elohim shall circumcise your heart and the heart of your seed, to love YAHUAH your Elohim with all your heart and with all your being, so that you might live.’ Bring back our captivity and have compassion on us, as it is written: ‘YAHUAH your Elohim shall turn back your captivity, and shall have compassion on you, and He shall turn back and gather you from all the peoples where YAHUAH Elohim has scattered you.’ Gather in our dispersed ones, as it is written: ‘If any of you are driven out to the farthest parts under the heavens, from there YAHUAH your Elohim does gather you, and from there He does take you.’ Be accessible to us in our search, as it is written: ‘From there you shall seek YAHUAH your Elohim, and shall find, when You search for Him with all your heart and with all your being.’
Wipe away our willful sins for Your sake, as You said: ‘I, I am He Who blots out your transgressions for My own sake, and remember your sins no more.’ Wipe away our willful sins like a cloud and like a mist, as it is written: ‘I shall wipe out your transgressions like a cloud, and your sins like a mist. Return to Me, for I shall redeem you.’ Whiten our errors like snow and like pure white wool, as it is written: ‘Come now, and let us reason together, says YAHUAH. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.’ Pour pure water upon us and purify us, as it is written: ‘And I shall sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean—from all your filthiness and from all your idols I cleanse you.’ Cleanse our conscience, as it is written: ‘how much more shall the blood of Messiah, who through the everlasting Spirit offered Himself unblemished to Elohim, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living Elohim?’ Atone our sins on this day and purify us, as it is written: ‘For on that day he makes atonement for you, to cleanse you, to be clean from all your sins before YAHUAH.’

(Leader) Bring us to Your set-apart mountain and gladden us in Your house of prayer, as it is written: ‘them I shall bring to My set-apart mountain, and let them rejoice in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their slaughterings are accepted on My altar, for My house is called a house of prayer for all the peoples.’

Sh’ma Koleinu
(All) Hear our voice, YAHUAH our Elohim, pity and be compassionate to us, and accept—with compassion and favor—our prayer. Turn us back to You, O YAHUAH, and let us turn back, renew our days as of old. Give ear to my words, O YAHUAH, consider my meditation. Attend to the voice of my cry, my Sovereign and Elohim, for unto You I pray. May the expressions of our mouth and the thoughts of our heart find favor before You, YAHUAH, our Rock and our Redeemer. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Set-Apart Spirit from me. Do not cast me off in the time of old age; when my strength fails, do not forsake me. Do not forsake me, O YAHUAH; O my Elohim, be not far from me! Show me a sign for good, and let those hating me see it and be ashamed, for You YAHUAH, have helped me and comforted me. For on You, O YAHUAH, I have waited; You do answer, O YAHUAH my Elohim.

(All) O YAHUAH, our Elohim and the Elohim of our forefathers, do not forsake us, nor cast us off, nor humiliate us, nor annul Your covenant with us. Draw us near to Your Torah, teach us Your commands, instruct us in Your ways, influence our heart to revere Your Name. Expose our hearts to love You, and may we repent to You sincerely and wholeheartedly. For the sake of Your great Name, pardon and forgive our sins as it is written in Your set-apart writings: ‘For Your Name’s sake, O YAHUAH, You shall pardon my crookedness, though it is great.’
We are brazen but You are compassionate and show us favor; we are obstinate, but You are slow to anger; we are filled with iniquity, but You are filled with compassion; we—our days are like a passing shadow, but You are everlasting and Your years never end.
May the expressions of our mouths and the thoughts of our hearts find favor before You, YAHUAH our Rock and our Redeemer. He Who makes peace on high, may He make peace for us and for all Israel. In the Name of Yahushuah, so be it.

ASSURANCE OF ATONEMENT— Covenant of Compassion
Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom YAHUAH imputes no crookedness, and in whose spirit there is no deceit! O YAH, If You should watch crookednesses, O YAHUAH who would stand? But with You there is forgiveness, that You might be feared. (Ps. 32:1,2; 130:3,4)
I shall cleanse them from all their crookednesses that they have sinned against Me. And I shall pardon all their crookednesses that they have sinned and by which they have transgressed against Me. You, O YAHUAH, are a compassionate El and showing favor, patient and great in kindness and truth. (Jer. 33:8; Ps. 86:15)
I, I am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; and remember your sins no more. I shall wipe out your transgressions like a cloud, and your sins like a mist. Return to Me, for I shall redeem you. As far as east is from west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. (Is. 43:25; 44:22; Ps. 103:12)
For this is the covenant I shall make with the house of Yisrael. I shall forgive their crookedness, and remember their sin no more. Bless YAHUAH, O my being, and do not forget all His dealings; who forgives all your crookednesses. He shall turn back, He shall have compassion on us; He shall trample upon our crookednesses! And You throw all our sins into the depths of the sea! Let the wrong forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to YAHUAH, who has compassion on him; and to our Elohim, for He pardons much. (Jer.31:33,34; Ps. 103:2,3; Mic. 7:19; Is. 55:7)
He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our crookednesses. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. Through His knowledge My Righteous Servant makes many righteous, and He bears their crookednesses. He poured out His being unto death, and He was counted with the transgressors, and He bore the sins of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. (Is. 53:5,11,12)
Elohim made Him who knew no sin, to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of Elohim. He Himself is an atoning offering for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for all the world. (2 Cor. 5:21;1 John 2:2)
Through this One forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, and by Him everyone who believes is declared right from all sins from which you were not able to be declared right by the Torah of Mosheh. (Acts 13:38,39)

(All) Most patient Elohim, YAHUAH, Master of compassion, You have shown us the path of repentance. This day and every day embrace with lovingkindness Your people. We seek Your Presence in supplication. Meet us with compassion, O Master of compassion.
We come before You in prayer. Turn away wrath; shelter us, protect us. Forgive transgression, blot out sin by the blood of Yahushuah, the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world. Heed now our cry as on the day of Your revelation, when you proclaimed to Moshe: “YAHUAH, YAHUAH, an El compassionate and showing favor, patient, and great in kindness and truth, watching over kindness for thousands, forgiving crookedness and transgression and sin, visiting the crookedness of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.” (Ex/Shm. 34:6,7).
YAHUAH, our Elohim and Sovereign, You are enthroned upon compassion, You rule with lovingkindness, You forgive the transgressions of Your people, and You repeatedly pardon. You generously forgive sin and deal compassionately with all men.
Remember in our favor Your Covenant of Compassion that you revealed to Moshe and completed in Messiah Yahushuah. Wipe away and remove our willful sins and errors from before Your eyes. Subdue our inclinations so that we may become subservient to You; overpower our stubbornness so that we may return to You sincerely. Renew our conscience so that we may observe Your commands, and expose our hearts to love and revere Your Name, as it is written: ‘And YAHUAH your Elohim shall circumcise your heart and the heart of your seed, to love YAHUAH your Elohim with all your heart and with all your being, so that you might live.’
Forgive us, our Father, for we have sinned. Pardon us, our Sovereign, for we have transgressed. You, O YAHUAH, are generous and forgiving. Great is Your love for all who call to You in the Name of Yahushuah Messiah. Thank You, YAHUAH, for Yahushuah—our Savior, our Deliverer, and our Redeemer—the Messiah of Yisra’el.

(All) YAHUAH, our Elohim and Elohim of our fathers, forgive us, pardon us, atone for us by our Messiah Yahushuah;
For You are our Elohim, and we Your people.
You are our Father, and we Your children.
You are our Master, and we Your servants.
You are our Portion, and we Your congregation.
You are our Shepherd, and we Your sheep.
You are our Watchman, and we Your vineyard.
You are our Creator, and we Your creation.
You are our Beloved, and we Your faithful.
You are our Elohim, and we Your treasure.
You are our Sovereign, and we Your people.
You have chosen us, and we have accepted Your Covenant.

For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are being set apart. (Ibr/Heb. 10:14)
What started in a Tent with a high priest, ends in a Set-Apart Place with THE High Priest YAHUSHUAH!
YAHUAH, our Elohim and Elohim of our fathers. As the gates of this moade, this appointed season, are closing, we are thankful that we have been able to use this time of memorial to remember Your atoning work, "But He (Yahushuah) having offered one slaughter offering for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of Elohim." (Heb/Ibr. 10:12)
Yeshayahu [Isaiah] said, "Come now and let us reason together says YAHUAH. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow..." (Is/Yesh. 1:18)
Is this not the fast that I have chosen, to loosen the tight cords of wrongness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to exempt the oppressed, and to break off every yoke? (Is/Yesh. 58:6)
(All) We have come before you on this moade, this appointed season, and we have humbled ourselves before You, confessed our sins to You, and to our fellow man. We have made these Yom Kippur services our own. We are thankful that for us, the closing of the gates of the appointed time, does not prevent us from confessing our sins to You any day of the year and receiving Your forgiveness. We know that if we judge ourselves now, especially on this appointed season You designated for it, we will not stand ashamed before You on that day, when at the judgment seat, the tapes of our lives are played.
