SHABBAT SHALOM!
** Rosh Chodesh--10/18/09 at nightfall **
HaChodesh HaShmini (the 8th month) begins this weekend on the night of the 18th. We observe each new moon--each new month--as commanded in Bem/Num. 28:11: "And on the beginnings of your months you bring near a burnt offering to YAHUAH." On each Rosh Chodesh, we assemble to give an offering of praise and prayer to Elohim.
In the Scripture, the 8th month is called 'Bul.' It is mentioned in 1 Mel/1 Kings 6:38 as the month when Solomon completed the Set-Apart Place in Yerushalayim. After 7 years of building, the Set-Apart Place was "completed in all its matters and according to all its plans." This Scripture is very significant for this assembly. YAHUAH Elohim has been teaching us and leading us for 20 years. As we journeyed on the narrow road seeking Him and His Kingdom, YAH was building us a spiritual house. And now this assembly has been completed in Messiah YAHUSHUAH.
We came out of Babel and returned to Yerushalayim. We celebrated this on Yom Teruah. We also received the atonement for our sins by the blood of YAHUSHUAH--which we observed on Yom Kippur. Our redemption was made complete by YAHUSHUAH so that we can now dwell with Elohim as at the beginning in the garden of Eden--this was Sukkot. The Festivals we just observed shows the completion!
Once the House of YAHUAH is built, then the gate is open for all to come to worship Him. This takes us to a second verse that mentions the 8th month: "In the eighth month of the second year of Dareyawesh, the word of YAHUAH came to Zekaryah son of Berekyah, son of Iddo the prophet, saying, 'YAHUAH was very wroth with your fathers. And you shall say to them, "Thus said YAHUAH of hosts, 'Turn back to Me,' declares YAHUAH of hosts, 'and I shall turn back to you,' declares YAHUAH of hosts." (Zec 1:1-3)
The time is now for all to turn back to YAHUAH in repentance. The House is complete and the Gate is open. YAHUAH has brought us to completion! A House of Prayer for all nations has been established! See the pages on our website entitled 'The Gate is Open' & 'House of Prayer.' Study them to understand how YAH has established this assembly. Then plan to make your way to the House of Elohim to worship before Him.
Also, look at Zekaryah 10:20-23. It says people will be looking to pray before YAHUAH, seeking Him in Yerushalayim. They will take hold of a Yahudi (a worshipper of YAH) and follow him because Elohim is with him. In these last days, people will be looking to us because Elohim is with us. They will seek to follow us, the Yahudim, to the House of Elohim. We must be prepared to show them the way! It's not just about us. We must show the world the way to worship Elohim. So this month, with the House of Prayer complete, let us regain our focus on YAH, strengthen ourselves in Him, increase in knowledge of His word, and prepare to show others the way. The House is complete. The people are seeking. Get ready!

ROSH CHODESH BLESSINGS
When Rosh Chodesh begins on the night of the 18th, pray the blessings below and give YAH an offering of praise.
Blessed are You, YAHUAH our Elohim, Sovereign of the universe, Who has kept us alive, sustained us, and enabled us to reach this season. So be it.
May it be Your will, YAHUAH our Elohim and the Elohim of our forefathers, that You inaugurate this month upon us for goodness and for blessing. May You give us long life—a life of peace, a life of goodness, a life of blessing, a life of sustenance, a life of physical health, a life in which there is fear of heaven and fear of sin, a life in which there is no shame nor humiliation, a life of wealth and respect, a life in which we have a love of YAHUSHUAH and the Torah and a fear of Elohim, a life in which YAHUAH fulfills our heartfelt requests for the good. So be it. Selah.
YAHUAH, He Who performed miracles for our forefathers and redeemed them from slavery to freedom, He Who sent His Son Yahushuah to redeem us from the slavery of sin and falsehood—may He redeem us soon and gather in our dispersed from the four corners of the earth; all of Yisrael, becoming brothers. So be it.
The eighth month will be on the second day of the Sabbath, which is coming to us and all Yisra’el for goodness.
May YAHUAH, the Set-Apart One, blessed is He, renew it upon us and upon all His people, the Family of Yisra’el, for goodness and for blessing, for joy and for gladness, for deliverance and for comfort, for good sustenance and for support, for good life and for peace, for good report and for good news, for rains in their proper time, for complete recovery, and for early redemption. So be it.
