We have added another new page to our website--please see the 'TITHES & OFFERINGS' page. It tells how YAH has established Family of Messiah as a set-apart place for His Name and has chosen His priests & lewites to serve in His House. The commandments regarding tithes and offerings are very often overlooked, ignored, or misunderstood. There are some who teach that we no longer have to give tithes or offerings because the levitical priesthood and the set-apart place in Jerusalem no longer exist. However, a deeper understanding and revelation would show that YAHUSHUAH carried on the priesthood in His taught-ones. He especially chose Shimon Kepha (Peter) in Yohanan/John 21. YAHUAH was, and is, and is to be. He does not change, nor do His principles change. YAH still chooses people today to stand as priests unto Him--doing His will and His service upon the earth.
"Mind! Beware of the leaven of the pharisees" (Mark 8:15; Matt. 16:6)
Many teach we no longer have to give tithes & offerings. Yet the Word of YAH commands us to give offerings, tithes, and to give to the poor. (Giving to the poor is in ADDITION to offerings and tithes, it does not substitute.) If someone teaches something that is contrary to Scripture--BEWARE! If they teach you something that would cause you to disobey the commands--BEWARE! They are using reasoning--not the revelation of Elohim and are doing what is right in their own eyes, which we are not supposed to do: "Do not do as we are doing here today--each one doing whatever is right in his own eyes" (Deb/Deut. 12:8).
If we are commanded to give offerings, contributions, tithes to YAH, then "seek the place which YAHUAH your Elohim chooses, out of all your tribes, to put His Name there" "and there you shall take your burnt offerings, and your offerings, and your tithes, and the contributions of your hand" (Deb/Deut. 12:5-6).
We must seek His House and obey His commands.
