SHABBAT SHALOM!
Peace and strength to you:
As we continue with Debarim/Deuteronomy this week, let us point out a quick background note on this book of Torah. As you may have noticed, there are not a lot of events taking place in Debarim. In fact, the majority of the book is simply Moshe speaking to the people. You will see that Moshe continues speaking for several chapters in some areas. All of it takes place just before the children of Yisrael cross over into the Promised Land. So before they enter in, Moshe reviews all of the commands with them. He goes over them again and warns them to guard the commands and not do as the people of the land.
When we follow YAHUSHUAH completely, we come into the Reign of Elohim. The Reign of Elohim is the Promised Land in the spiritual realm. It is a realm of living while still here on the earth. So we should read Debarim as our instructions. As Moshe spoke to the people, so YAH is speaking to us. Moshe was preparing them to live in the Promised Land; so also YAH is preparing us to live in the Reign of Elohim.
The Torah is our guidebook for life. It is not just a collection of stories and commandments. The Torah tells us how to live and worship and interact with people each and every day--not just Shabbat and not just on the Festivals. EVERY DAY LIVING. YAHUSHUAH came and showed us how to live Torah. He is our perfect example of how to live the commandments every day.
So as we read and study our Scriptures this Shabbat, remember that the Torah speaks to us. Read and pray for YAH to reveal to you how we are to obey His word today and everyday. Use YAHUSHUAH as our example.
May YAHUAH Elohim, Giver of knowledge, wisdom, and understanding, give you perfect understanding of His Word and may He grant you the peace of mind and willingness to obey Him completely, in the Set-Apart Name of YAHUSHUAH HaMashiach, so be it, so be it. HalleluYAH!!
