CHANUKAH SAMEACH!
Peace to you this Sabbath, and Happy Chanukah!
Chanukah, the Festival of Dedication, begins this Shabbat. HalleluYAH--this is a special Shabbat and a special Chanukah season that has 2 Sabbaths.
This Chanukah festival, we crown YAHUSHUAH as Sovereign. This is the time of His Coronation over Yisrael! Praise YAH!
During the time of the Second Mikdash (set-apart place) in Yerushalayim, about the 2nd century BCE, the Greeks had taken over the land of Israel and imposed their laws and beliefs on the Yahudim. The Greeks outlawed Shabbat and Torah observance and tried to turn the Yahudim into disobedient pagans. The Yahudim rebelled, and YAH gave them deliverance from their oppressors. They repaired the Set-apart Place and restored true worship. The Greeks were driven from the land, and Israel was once again an independent nation with YAHUAH as Sovereign.
This Chanukah, we must proclaim YAHUSHUAH as Sovereign! In our spiritual journey, we came to the Truth of YAHUAH and defeated the enemy out of our lives. Through endurance, belief, and obedience, YAHUAH has given us deliverance from the adversary's oppression in our lives. Now that we are set free, we proclaim YAHUSHUAH as Sovereign! We are the restored dwelling place, and the Presence of YAH returns!
In our personal life, we must learn to see YAHUSHUAH as King. He is the Ruler of our lives. He tells us what to do, and we must humbly obey Him. We must praise Him! We must exalt Him! We must rejoice for our Sovereign has returned to His place of rest! Praise our Sovereign until it is steadfast within our being, the knowledge and understanding that we have a King who rules over us! And He is a Good, Trustworthy, and Compassionate Sovereign indeed! He cares for us and will never let us down. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Our Sovereign, our Shepherd, Ruler of our lives, YAHUSHUAH is He. Praise YAH!

We have a new page on our website about Chanukah-Crowning YAHUSHUAH as our Sovereign. It has a VERY important section called 'My Dedication.' We will be reading this to proclaim and affirm that YAHUSHUAH is Sovereign over our lives. It is for each person to read and believe individually, to make Him Ruler over your life personally. Once we proclaim it, then we live it. Our behavior and our speech should reflect that we have a Sovereign Ruler over our life.
May YAHUAH Elohim bless you and all your household with the knowledge and understanding of His Sovereignty and may He grant you His wisdom to live under His Rule, in the Set-Apart Name of our Sovereign, Shepherd, and Messiah--YAHUSHUAH--so be it, so be it. Praise YAH!

We are using the same daily prayer guide that we used last year for Chanukah. If you don't have it, you can print it from our Resources page on our website. There is a short lesson on the Dedication of the House of Elohim. It also has daily prayer and scripture readings. We use a chanukiyah--a 9-branched candle holder--just to count the 8 days of the Festival. If you do not have one, it's okay to light any light/candle for 8 days.
