SABBATH READINGS 1/9/10

SHABBAT SHALOM!
Tehillim/Psalm 100:
(1) Raise a shout for YAHUAH, All the earth!
(2) Serve YAHUAH with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.
(3) Know that YAHUAH, He is Elohim; He has made us, and we are His -- His people and the sheep of His pasture.
(4) Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him; bless His Name.
(5) For YAHUAH is good; His kindness is everlasting, And His truth, to all generations.
YAHUSHUAH our Messiah is Sovereign over the entire universe and He is Sovereign over us. He is our Sovereign, and we are His people. Therefore, "It is our duty to praise the Master of all" (Aleinu).
Adopt a habit of praise for our Sovereign. Esteem Him, Praise Him, and give Him thanks daily. A Sovereign deserves reverence and it is our DUTY, our obligation as Yahudim, to give YAHUSHUAH the reverence due Him. He is greater than all kings of the earth, and we must treat Him as the Great, Awesome, and Esteemed Ruler that He is.
Take time every day simply to praise Him and give Him thanks. In your prayer time, before making your requests, "Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him; bless His Name." Read a few psalms of praise or use the Prayer Manual. Ask YAH to help you praise Him with your being. Our Sovereign deserves praise and we must give it!
May YAHUAH Elohim, Sovereign over all, give you a spirit of praise and thanksgiving to thank, praise, esteem, exalt, adore, render triumphant, bless, raise high, and sing praises to our Sovereign YAHUSHUAH every day, continually. For to Him it is fitting to give praise. So be it.
"Shout for joy in YAHUAH, you righteous! Praise is fitting for the straight!" (Teh. 33:1)
"And we, Your people and the sheep of Your pasture, We give thanks to You forever; From generation to generation we show forth Your praise." Teh. 79:13
"Praise Yah! For it is good to sing praises to our Elohim. For it is pleasant -- praise is fitting." Teh. 147:1

"It is our duty to praise the Master of all, to ascribe greatness to the Molder of creation, for He has not made us like the nations of the lands, and has not emplaced us like the families of the earth; for He has not assigned our portion like theirs nor our lot like all their multitudes. For they bow to vanity and emptiness and pray to an idol which helps not. But we bend our knees, bow, and acknowledge our thanks before the Sovereign Who reigns over kings, the Set-Apart One, Blessed is He. He stretches out heaven and establishes earth's foundation, the seat of His homage is in the heavens above and His powerful Presence is in the loftiest heights. He is our Elohim and there is none other. True is our Sovereign, there is nothing beside Him, as it is written in His Torah: 'And you shall know today, and shall recall to your heart that YAHUAH Himself is Elohim in the heavens above and on the earth beneath; there is none else.'"
