SABBATH READINGS 4/3/2010
April 1, 2010
Shabbat Shalom! Chag Sameach!
We hope you are enjoying this Festival of YAHUAH! Here, we had a wonderful Passover. YAHUAH gave us revelation on how to truly observe Pesach in remembrance of YAHUSHUAH, and in carrying out His instructions, we were much more mindful of all the sufferings that our Sovereign endured on our behalf. We even applied His blood (the wine used in the Passover observance) on our doorposts as commanded. For the first time, we were able to really commemorate the blood of the Renewed Covenant because of the teachings that YAHUAH gave us 2 months ago in preparation.
SECOND PASSOVER We hope that you were able to follow the Passover Guide as much as possible. However, if for some reason you were unable to properly observe Passover, there is a Second Passover (Pesach Sheni). This is a kind of 'second chance' that YAHUAH provides so all can observe this very important set-apart day. Passover is that important to the Father that He gives us another chance. So if you were unable to observe Passover this week, please let us know so we can help you prepare for the Second Passover. Please do not miss this second opportunity that YAHUAH has provided for you. Call or email us.
Date of Second Passover: begins 4/27 at sundown & continues to 4/28 at sundown
See Bem/Num. 9:1-12
COUNTING THE OMER We started counting the Omer already. This Shabbat coincides with Day 4 of the Omer Count. The period of counting the Omer, from Passover to Shavuot, corresponds to the time the Children of Yisrael spent in the wilderness traveling to Mt. Horeb. This was a time to prepare for receiving the Torah. Today, as we count the Omer, we too prepare by continuing the work begun at Passover. At Passover, we ask repentance and eat matzah for seven days in remembrance of YAHUSHUAH's sinless life. We eat matzah in our commitment to leading a sinless life. During the omer, each day we focus on improving some area of our life. Whether we need to work on loving others more or trusting YAH in every situation or being more diligent in our study and prayers, we take special notice and work on improvement.
The Omer Chart is attached to this email with the daily count and Scripture readings. You can also get it from our Resources page. The Resources page also has a more detailed lesson on the Omer. (See Wayy/Lev. 23:15-16 & Deb/Deut. 16:9-10)
May YAHUAH Elohim, Sovereign of the universe, be with you this Festival of Unleavened Bread and this Shabbat to bless you and strengthen you and purify your being to serve YAHUAH and follow YAHUSHUAH in all His ways. May His peace abound in your life, so be it, so be it.
