SABBATH READINGS 4/10/10

Shabbat Shalom!
Many blessings of peace and strength to you in the Name of YAHUSHUAH!
We are still counting the Omer. This Shabbat is Day 11 of the Count. During this time, YAHUAH tested the Children of Yisrael in the wilderness on their way to Mount Horeb (Sinai). Usually during this time, we'll experience situations that will indeed test us also. Be attentive to the happenings in your life over these 7 weeks of the Omer. When situations arise, put your trust in Elohim alone. We are free from Mitsrayim, and we no longer have pharaoh reigning over us. But situations may arise that will test our belief in YAH's deliverance. Will we trust Him or will we put ourselves back in bondage and put our trust in people or money or jobs? YAHUAH alone reigns over us and we look to Him to provide ALL of our needs. Continue focusing on YAHUAH and prepare your hearts and minds and beings for Shavuot. We must be a prepared vessel for His Laws and His Spirit.
SECOND PASSOVER
As we said in our last email, the Second Passover will take place 4/27 at sundown. We have dvd's of lessons right before Passover that can help you in preparing, and we also have a dvd of our Passover service (the first night). You can follow along with the video and observe Passover in your home. Call or email us and we can mail you the Passover dvds, booklets, and materials (Commemoration, etc.).
JOURNEY TO THE SET-APART PLACE
Shavuot (the Festival of Weeks) is only 6 weeks away now. We will observe this Festival on 5/18 at sundown. This is one of the three Festivals that all are commanded to travel to Yerushalayim. So begin planning your Set-Apart Day now. If you are able to join us here in Summerville, SC, then call us and let us help in your travel arrangements.
Truly, we are starting to see why it is so important to travel to the Set-Apart Place. The Set-Apart Place in Yerushalayim was the House of the Presence of YAHUAH. The farther people lived from the Set-Apart Place, the more they tended to grow away from YAHUAH spiritually. We see today that for some, it is truly difficult to maintain spiritual growth away from the House of Elohim. Many do very well in maintaining focus and spiritual strength and are able to learn and grow with the guidance of the Ruach HaKodesh. However, some do struggle in this regard. We encourage you to make every effort to travel to the Set-Apart Place that YAHUAH has established in this day and age. There may be others, but we definitely know that YAHUAH has built this House for His Name. Join us for worship and fellowship with brothers and sisters in Messiah. Come to His Dwelling Place and draw closer to His Presence. Three times a year YAHUAH commands us to draw closer to Him. If you didn't make it for Pesach, make every effort to come for Shavuot.
ROSH CHODESH & THE CALENDAR
The second month of the year begins next week, 4/14 at sundown.
Lately, there's been a LOT of controversy over dates and calendars.
We've received many emails with questions. This is something we prayed about last year when similar controversies arose and YAHUAH told us, 'Stay the course.' We have been using the 'Jewish' calendar and that is what we will continue to use until YAHUAH leads us in another direction. Yes, we've read all the studies and lessons that others put out, but YAHUAH is our ultimate authority, and we must hear Him. We must depend on REVELATION (the Word of YAHUAH) and NOT Reasoning (the word of man).
The Serpent of Old
Please beware in your studies because the serpent of old is working amongst the set-apart ones just as he did in the Garden of Eden. He is appealing to man's reasoning just as he did to Hawwah (Eve). Hawwah listened to the serpent because it indeed sounded right. It made sense. But it wasn't the word of Elohim! Today, the serpent is at work leading people away from the truth and causing all kinds of separations and divisions in the body of the True Messiah YAHUSHUAH. We must stand together and worship together and let the world see the set-apart NATION.
Prayer for wisdom:
[YAHUAH] You favorably endow man with knowledge and teach understanding to a frail mortal. Endow us favorably from Yourself with wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. Blessed are You, YAHUAH, gracious Giver of knowledge.
May YAHUAH Elohim, Sovereign of the universe, give you His perfect wisdom from above and strengthen your spirit to hear and obey His every word, in the Set-Apart Name of our Sovereign Messiah, YAHUSHUAH, so be it.
Complete Sabbath Peace to you in YAHUSHUAH's Name, so be it.
