Shout with joy to Elohim, All the earth! Sing out the splendour of His Name; Make His praise esteemed. Say to Elohim, “How awesome are Your works!" (Teh/Ps. 66:1-3)

Shabbat Shalom Family!

Blessings of joy to you in the Name of YAHUSHUAH!

The third month is here, and it's time to seriously prepare for Shavuot (Festival of Weeks). On the first day of the third month, all of Yisrael assembled at Mount Horeb (sinai). They assembled together as one man, in one accord. YAHUAH gave them instructions for CLEANSING and SEPARATION. That is what He is doing with us again today. It is time to make a 'distinction.' In every area of our lives, we must show that we are a set-apart people. If the world cannot tell that we are different from them, then where is the light?

We were instructed to make a list of all things that we want YAHUAH to remove from us. There are things in our life that are not of Him...and we know it. Now is the time for cleansing and separation. We've been focusing on improving ourselves this whole time of the Omer. Now it's coming to completion. All those things that we don't have the strength or will to remove on our own, we pray for YAHUAH to remove from us.

Take some time over the next day or two and write your list. All things that you want YAHUAH to cleanse from your life and your being. Then pray for Him to remove it far from you. If want us to pray for you (or with you) then call or email us. We will place your name upon the Altar, as we did here, and pray for you. This is our atonement that YAHUAH is requiring from us at this time. YAHUSHUAH did His part at Pesach; now it's our turn to do our part. Make a list and pray for YAHUAH to cleanse you and separate all uncleanness from you.

THE ENGAGEMENT
Why is the Torah needed? To show us how to be the set-apart people of Elohim. YAHUAH chose us to be a people for Himself, His treasured possession above all peoples. He wants a relationship with us like He had with Adam and Hawwah in Gan Eden (the garden of eden). He wants us to be His spotless, blameless bride. At Pesach, He redeemed us from slavery and brought us out for Himself. At Shavuot, He proposes and give us the marriage contract--His Torah. If we obey, then at Sukkot, the marriage occurs when we dwell with Him forever.

This Shavuot is the time of our Engagement. We're preparing ourselves to accept His proposal and receive the marriage contract. We are cleansing and separating ourselves to be His bride. Will you marry Him?
If we are going to be His bride, we must take this seriously. Prepare to be His bride.

GIVING OF THE TORAH
Shavuot is also known as the time of Matan Torah--the Giving of the Torah. The focus is on YAH giving the Torah, rather than us receiving the Torah. Why? Because YAH gave the Law on the day of Shavuot, but people are receiving the Torah throughout all ages. And, it takes time for a person to receive Torah. All Yisrael stood at Horeb and said 'Na'aseh V'nishma'--All that YAHUAH has spoken "we shall do and obey" (Shem/Ex. 24:7). They declared this BEFORE they even knew all the Laws. They believed in YAHUAH and trusted in His good Words. They accepted first, and THEN they learned them--over time. At Shavuot, we too can affirm (or reaffirm) 'Na'aseh V'nishma' -- I will do and obey. Afterwards, we work on receiving the Torah--learning and studying daily. Remember, YAHUSHUAH is the Living Torah, He is the Embodiment of all the Law. As we study, YAHUSHUAH will teach us how to obey Torah. Shavuot is also the time that the YAHUSHUAH sent the Ruach HaKodesh (Set-Apart Spirit) to His followers (Acts 2). Only with His Spirit can we truly obey His Words.

PREPARE. CLEANSE. SEPARATE.
ACCEPT THE PROPOSAL.
RECEIVE THE TORAH.

I love YAHUAH my Elohim with all my heart, with all my being, and with all my might!

The Shavuot Prayer Guide is on our Resources page. We will begin the Shavuot Festival 5/18/10 at sundown with worship and prayer and a Festive meal. Then, throughout the day 5/19/10 we will observe the Festival by studying Scripture, committing extra time in prayer, resting (it's a Sabbath), and keeping our minds focused on YAHUAH and His set-apart day. The Festival ends 5/19 at sundown.

**********************************************
May YAHUAH Elohim bless you with complete understanding of His set-apart day and bless you in all your observances of His Festival. May He strengthen you and assist you in your preparations and bless your Sabbath Day with healing, rest, and peace, in the Name of YAHUSHUAH, so be it.

BLESSING OF THE NEW MONTH (third month)

Blessed are You, YAHUAH our Elohim, Sovereign of the universe, Who has kept us alive, sustained us, and brought us to this time.

May it be Your will, YAHUAH our Elohim and the Elohim of our forefathers, that You inaugurate this month upon us for goodness and for blessing. May You give us long life—a life of peace, a life of goodness, a life of blessing, a life of sustenance, a life of physical health, a life in which there is fear of heaven and fear of sin, a life in which there is no shame nor humiliation, a life of wealth and respect, a life in which we have a love of Torah and fear of heaven, a life in which YAHUAH fulfills our heartfelt requests for the good.

YAHUAH, He Who performed miracles for our forefathers and redeemed them from slavery to freedom, He Who sent His Son YAHUSHUAH to redeem us from the slavery of sin [and falsehood]—may He redeem us soon and gather in our dispersed from the four corners of the earth; all of Yisrael, becoming brothers. So be it.

May YAHUAH, the Set-Apart One, blessed is He, renew this month upon us and upon all His people, the Family of Yisra’el, for goodness and for blessing, for joy and for gladness, for deliverance and for comfort, for good sustenance and for support, for good life and for peace, for good report and for good news, for rains in their proper time, for complete recovery, and for early redemption. In the Name of YAHUSHUAH, so be it.
