YAHUAH is my light and my deliverance; Whom should I fear? YAHUAH is the refuge of my life; Whom should I dread? (Teh/Ps. 27:1)
Shabbat Shalom Family!
May the love of Messiah be with you!
YAHUAH is a Great Elohim! He is a forgiving El! We have been learning about the Covenant of Compassion--the forgiveness of YAHUAH--in preparation for part two of the Engagement to our Bridegroom YAHUSHUAH. At Shavuot, we accepted the Laws of YAHUAH and agreed to obey them. Now, we are understanding His compassion and forgiveness. We cannot keep all the Laws. YAHUAH knows that we are but flesh. He knows that we will 'miss the mark' sometimes. That's why He gave His Covenant of Compassion to Mosheh:
Shem/Ex. 34:6-7 And YAHUAH passed before him and proclaimed, “YAHUAH, YAHUAH , an El compassionate and showing favour, patient, and great in kindness and truth, watching over kindness for thousands, forgiving crookedness and transgression and sin, but by no means leaving unpunished, visiting the crookedness of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.”
There are three levels of forgiveness: Selichah, Mechilah, and Kapparah. Selichah is 'forgiveness.' When an offender is forgiven, his offense is pardoned and there is no more penalty or punishment. Mechilah is 'wiping away.' All debts (offenses) are wiped away and remembered no more. The relationship between the offender and the offended party is restored as before. Kapparah is 'atonement.' When a person is forgiven and his debts are wiped away, the atonement brings comfort to his heart so he no longer feels the guilt and shame. YAHUSHUAH has made it possible for us to receive complete forgiveness--selichah, mechilah, and kapparah.
Mat 6:14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father shall also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither shall your Father forgive your trespasses."
Because we need YAHUAH to forgive us, we must forgive others. Last Shabbat and on Rosh Chodesh, we took some time to think of those who have wronged us in any way. We each recalled to mind everyone we could think of who hurt our feelings, caused us pain, or brought hardship to our lives. We forgave them in our hearts and prayed for YAHUAH to help us completely forgive everyone. Some of us even went the extra step to contact someone who wronged us and say "I forgive you."
This is such an important step in taking us through to the Marriage. We encourage you to take some time to think of all those who wronged you or hurt you, then forgive. Pray for YAHUAH to help you forgive completely. If there is any deep-rooted unforgiveness, and you have trouble releasing past hurts, please call us. We can pray with you and help you in forgiving those who offended you. If you do not reach us, please leave a message so we can know to return your call. (843-821-4832)
******************************************** FAST of the 9th DAY
This coming week, we will be observing the fast of the 9th Day of the Fifth month (Tisha B'Av). Our Jewish brothers will be fasting this day in remembrance of the destruction of the Set-Apart Place in Yerushalayim. For some reason, the 9th Day has met with tragedy for the Yahudim on several different occasions throughout history. Because of this, we will join in the fast and intercede on behalf of all Yisrael--all Yahudim worldwide.
We will begin the fast 7/19 at sundown and continue to sundown on 7/20. Pray for the land of Yisrael, pray for all Yahudim, and pray that the works of the enemy cease--that all wicked plots come to naught and all evil counsel is nullified. Read Tehillim/Psalms 20, 83, 121, 130, & 142.
********************************************
May YAHUAH Elohim, Sovereign of the universe, bless you this Shabbat Day with complete peace and favor from Elohim. May He extend His loving Hand of kindness to you and provide for all your need and all the needs of your household, in the Name of YAHUSHUAH our Messiah, so be it, so be it.
********************************************
Wait on YAHUAH, be strong, And let Him strengthen your heart! Wait, I say, on YAHUAH! (Teh/Psa 27:14)
"I love YAHUAH my Elohim with all my heart, and with all my being, and with all my might. And I love my neighbor as myself."
