SABBATH READINGS 8/7/10
August 5, 2010
"I exalt You, O YAHUAH, for You have drawn me up, And have not let my enemies rejoice over me. O YAHUAH my Elohim, I thank You forever." (Teh/Psa 30:1,12)
Shabbat Shalom Family!
Peace and strength to you in the Name of our Sovereign YAHUSHUAH!
Praise YAHUAH! We have completed the Engagement according to the instructions of YAHUAH, so we now look forward to and prepare for the marriage ceremony! What we focus on now is becoming the pure, spotless bride. Last week's reading in Ephesians 4-6 gave us several instructions on how to become a set-apart bride without spot, without wrinkle, and without blemish.
Without spot: no visible stains; meaning we're not accountable for any wrongdoing, our behavior is spotless in the eyes of others.
without wrinkle: no indecisiveness in our belief; no turning around from the true belief.
without blemish: no inward problems; no character defects
set-apart: full purification; reborn in YAHUSHUAH
We must continue to strive toward becoming the pure bride of YAHUSHUAH. Study His Word daily, His Word cleanses us and sets us apart.

SHABBAT NOTES for this week's reading:
Luqas/Luke 21 and 22 detail some of the last days YAHUSHUAH spent with His taught-ones before Passover and His suffering. He is teaching in the Set-Apart Place by day and staying at the Mount of Olives by night.
Chapter 21 begins at the treasury and YAHUSHUAH says that the poor widow gave more than all because she gave all that she had to live on. He continues in telling them about the destruction of the Set-Apart Place and the coming endtimes. In vs. 19, YAHUSHUAH says: "Possess your lives by your endurance!" We can make it by trusting Him. We must endure for the long haul and the only way is to see the 'big picture.' Know that YAHUAH will take care of us when we put all our trust in Him.
Chapter 22 is the climax of Luke's account of Messiah YAHUSHUAH. It begins and ends with Passover & the Festival of Unleavened Bread. YAHUSHUAH is our Passover and He truly is our Unleavened Bread. He came from YAHUAH for this purpose. He came as One Who serves. Although Kepha follows at a distance, YAHUSHUAH goes alone. Kepha's position wasn't good because he was at a distance from the Master. We cannot stay marginal with YAH. If we stay at a distance from Him, we may deny Him. We must draw close to our Master and follow Him completely.
One good thing about Kepha is that others recognized that he was with YAHUSHUAH. They saw that he belonged with YAHUSHUAH and that he looked like, talked like, and acted like one who was with YAHUSHUAH. YAHUSHUAH prayed for Kepha because our Master will not allow us to be sifted out by the adversary. He wants us to have His mind as in Phil. 2:4 "Each one should look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others." Look out for one another as YAHUSHUAH looks out for us. Then we can rejoice in thanksgiving as in vs. 5-11.
Let our love through YAHUSHUAH give esteem to and highly exalt YAHUAH Elohim, our Father!

ROSH CHODESH
This coming week 8/10/10 at sundown will be Rosh Chodesh--the New Moon and the beginning of the 6th Hebrew month. The 6th month is the month of repentance in preparation for the Fall Festival season. We have a lesson on our Resources page, called Rosh Chodesh Elul, about Teshuvah (repentance) for this month. It also has an Order of Service and Blessings of the New Month. We usually read Tehillim/Ps. 27 and blow the shofar every day of the 6th month.
************************************************* We have a couple of new webpages up on our site. There is a new page called 'Prophetic Dreams.' Several set-apart ones from different parts of the world have had dreams that tell about the endtimes and how the Assembly of Messiah will play a significant role in these times. We also have finally managed to get our Commandments page online. This page is a good place to start in our work to become a pure bride. We will be adding to this page from time to time explaining more of the commands of YAH. Lastly, we now have a video page on our site with some of our old Youtube videos.
*************************************************
Shabbat Shalom and May YAHUAH Elohim, Sovereign of all, bless you this Sabbath Day with a renewed peace of mind and being and give you of His strength to complete the coming six days of labor prosperously and joyously in the Name of YAHUSHUAH our Bridegroom Messiah, so be it, so be it. Praise YAH!
