WEEKLY SABBATH READINGS>
SHABBAT READINGS 8/21/10
August 19, 2010
"Be glad in YAHUAH and exult, you righteous; And shout for joy, all you upright in heart!" (Teh/Ps. 32:11)
Shabbat Shalom Family!
Blessings of peace and favor to you in the Name of YAHUSHUAH!
We praise YAHUAH for He is truly helping us in these busy times of preparing for His festive season! He is bringing together His plans and revealing more and more each day. We will complete the marriage ceremony at Yom Teruah when we marry YAHUSHUAH our Bridegroom. The service will be the evening of 9/8 (the first day of the 7th Hebrew month). The wedding feast and celebration will be at Sukkot, 9/24.
We are completing this 6th month of repentance by concentrating on staying blameless and set-apart so we can be a pure bride. We took a big step in our commitment when we completed the Tena'im (Engagement) last month. This is the time to be on guard! Almost every time we move closer to YAHUAH, the adversary moves in to try to undo our spiritual growth. He tempts us and tries us in an attempt to cause us to sin and break our engagement. But YAHUAH is so compassionate! If we sincerely repent and turn from our ways, He is trustworthy to forgive us and mend our engagement.
"Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom YAHUAH imputes no crookedness, And in whose spirit there is no deceit." (Teh/Ps. 32:1-2)
"I acknowledged my sin to You, And my crookedness I did not hide. I have said, “I confess my transgressions to YAHUAH,” And You forgave the crookedness of my sin. Selah. Therefore, let every kind one pray to You While You might be found; Even in a flood of great waters They would not reach him." (Teh/Ps. 32:5-6)
We only need to call upon YAHUAH, and He will deliver us from the wicked one. He wants us to be overcomers! And the best part about it...He gives us the strength to overcome! We only need to call on His Name and believe that He delivers us. YAHUAH will help us to stay on His right path and lead us to become a pure bride.
"Let Me instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; Let Me counsel, My eye be on you." (Teh/Ps. 32:8)
Fear YAHUAH. Call upon His Name. Overcome in YAHUSHUAH!

MARRIAGE PREPARATION
We are asking everyone to take a mikveh in preparation for the marriage ceremony. So between now and Yom Teruah (9/8), take the time to reflect, examine, and repent. Immerse in the mikveh and prepare for the marriage. Mikveh instructions are on our resources page, and if you need Pine Oil for Life, let us know.

SHABBAT NOTES on this Week's Reading
Yohanan chapter 1 really shows how the Father YAHUAH and the Son YAHUSHUAH are One. In the first verse, it says YAHUSHUAH, the Word, was in the beginning with Elohim and He was Elohim. He is One! "Hear O Yisrael: YAHUAH our Elohim, YAHUAH is One!"
Verse 10 of chapter 1 shows just how it is today: YAHUSHUAH made the world and everyone in it, yet it seems like everyone is too busy to know Him. They don't know Him nor His Name. But if they would only receive Him, as it says in verse 12, they will become children of the Most High YAHUAH through belief in His Name! This is the challenge facing us Yahudim. We are called to tell the nations that YAHUSHUAH died for them and their sins to restore the relationship to the Father.
Verse 23 of Yohanan 1 points to YeshaYahu (Is.) 40 where comfort is proclaimed to His people. YAHUSHUAH is our Comfort! So prepare the way of YAHUAH by fulfilling your life in YAHUSHUAH. This is the time when the esteem of YAHUAH is revealed and all flesh shall see it! Let us rejoice together for YAHUAH is comforting His people!
