Set-Apart Days & Appointed Times
*** We have been led to use the Jewish lunar calendar, which can be purchased from any judaica shop or online store. This calendar is simple, and it promotes unity among the Yahudim--hundreds of thousands of people worldwide all worship YAH together on the same date. However, there are some who would disagree with some of the dates of this calendar with varying reasons. Because several people have asked us about this, we took it to YAH in prayer. He answered simply, "STAY THE COURSE." What we have been doing in this regard, we will continue doing--using the Jewish calendar--until He says differently. We will obey His word.
The Hebrew day begins at evening--"and there came to be evening and there came to be morning, the first day" (Ber/Gen. 1:5). The day begins in the evening when the sun sets and continues until evening/sunset the following day (when the next new day begins). On the calendar below, we have put the festivals on the dates they BEGIN. The Festival does not actually begin until sundown on that day. The Festival will then continue until sundown the following day. We have done it this way so we are sure to observe the festival from its very beginning. We usually welcome the festival at sundown, continue to observe it throughout the following day, and close the festival the next sunset.
