Chosen to be Spiritual Mt. Zion—A Dwelling Place of Yahuah
Summerville, South Carolina, located in Dorchester County, has been chosen by the Almighty God to be Mt. Zion—a place of refuge, a place of shelter, a place of deliverance, and a place where spiritual battles are won. Here dwells a people of God, a people who have received religious freedom to worship the Almighty in Spirit and truth, in the manner God outlined in the Scriptures. There are two kinds of religious freedom: Secular Religious Freedom and Spiritual Religious Freedom. Secular Religious Freedom is the religious freedom all Americans enjoy, worshipping however and wherever one chooses. Spiritual religious freedom is worshipping according to the Word of Elohim (the Scriptures) and not being bound by the traditions of man. Spiritual religious freedom brings us into true knowledge and obedience to the Father. True knowledge defeats the devil that once held us captive by deception and our lack of knowledge. Spiritual freedom is what we must attain. We must conquer and remove the devil out of our lives so we can return to the truth of Scripture by belief in Yahushuah, the true Messiah of Israel.

All these locations have been chosen by God and have been prepared throughout history for the present time.
Biblical History
The Hebrews were slaves in the land of Egypt. They were set free and led out of Egypt so they could search out a place to worship God and serve Him in their own way. God gave Moses His laws and instructions to build a tabernacle so that He could dwell with His people. Moses gathered gold, silver, and other costly materials and built the tabernacle in the wilderness as God instructed. It was in the wilderness that the Hebrews became the nation of ‘Israel.’ This was religious freedom to worship God in the manner He willed.
This biblical history of the Hebrews leaving Egypt, entering the wilderness to worship the Almighty, building a tabernacle, and establishing a nation is related to the pilgrims’ journey to America. They too escaped religious persecution and sought religious freedom in a new land. The pilgrims desired to worship God and build a church without the restraints of religious laws of England. They formed the foundation of a new nation.
South Carolina History
The Carolinas were named after King Charles I. King Charles II granted land to eight proprietors who controlled a vast amount of land extending from northern Florida to Virginia. (The Carolina colony was divided later into North and South Carolina.) The British maintained a lengthy control over the South Carolina colony, and this royal influence provided great benefits for the early settlers of Charles Town and surrounding areas. In the year 1729, South Carolina was formally declared to be a royal colony.
South Carolina is a state known for its historical royal influences and its strong religious foundation. Carolina and Charles Town are both named after English royalty. Charleston (formerly Charles Town) has been given the name ‘Holy City’ because of the many churches it contains. This royal and religious foundation points directly to Scripture. God promised His people that if they would hear to His voice and obey His word, then He would make them a ‘royal’ priesthood and a ‘holy’ nation. The mottos of South Carolina also show that it is a chosen state: "While I breath, I hope!" and "Prepared in Mind and in Resources."
Dorchester County
Many settlers escaped religious persecution in England in the 17th century. One such group traveled from an old town in England called Dorchester. They settled in Massachusetts and named their new town ‘Dorchester.’ After about three generations, these pilgrims living in Dorchester, Massachusetts wanted to spread the Gospel to the southern plantations. They chose eight ministers, or missionaries, to travel to Charles Town, South Carolina. They were told to choose a site and build a church as soon as possible.
The people of Charles Town received the missionaries with warm greetings. The first and official act of the Puritans was to build their church. At that time there were no churches outside the Charles Town area, so the pilgrim ministers chose a site at the ‘headwaters of the Ashley River.’ According to records, Lady Rebecca Axtell of Newington Plantation helped them acquire the land they wanted to build their church. On January14, 1696, they named the site of their new church ‘Dorchester.’ On January 26,1696, the first sermon was preached on the land where the church was to be built. They proceeded with building their church, their homes, and the ‘town’ of Dorchester.
The church building stood two miles from the town of Dorchester on the Charles Town road, which was known then as ‘The Broad Path.’ This main road is now known as Dorchester Road.
Summerville
The area now known as ‘greater Summerville’ (the areas outside the official ‘town’) began to be settled shortly after settlers first came to Charles Town. The English King John I, granted land to British Proprietors, who established several plantations along the Ashley River.
The ‘township’ area of Summerville was once an extension of Charles Town. Charles Town was established in the low country, close to sea level, along swampy areas. Summerville, however, was located on a pine-forested ridge. It sat on sandy, high grounds between the Ashley and Cooper Rivers. This area became a refuge for the wealthy residents of Charles Town and the Ashley River plantations. They built ‘summer’ homes in this area to escape the heat, bugs, and diseases in the low country. They lived there from late spring to early fall. The village of summer homes later became known as ‘Summerville.’ Summerville was a place of refuge from the heat.
Summerville was also known for its many pine trees. The pine forests gave off a turpentine aroma. It was discovered that this scent helped many recover from lung disorders and relieved many who suffered from respiratory problems. More people began to move to Summerville, making it their permanent dwelling. Not knowing this information at the time, Father gave me a dream showing a bottle of anointing oil with the words 'Pine Oil' for Life ' written. It all makes sense, since Summerville was and is known for its many pine trees and healings from them.
King’s Grant Subdivision
The King’s Grant subdivision was originally a plantation called Oak Forest Plantation. It is located on Dorchester Road along the Ashley River. Dorchester Road, once called Charles Town road, played a significant role in the Revolutionary War, and it has remained a major highway up to this very day. King’s Grant has several streets named after actual places in England. Its emblem even contains a picture of a ship, perhaps a symbol of early English settlers traveling to the new land for religious freedom.
Runnymede Lane
The Magna Carta was a type of Constitution declaring the English Church to be free, and to have her rights entire, and her liberties inviolate. It stated, ‘and this we will observe, and our will is that it be observed in good faith by our heirs forever. We have also granted to all freemen of our kingdom, for us and our heirs forever, all the underwritten liberties, to be had and held by them and their heirs, of us and our heirs forever.’ King John I of England was forced to seal this document. Pope Innocent III ratified it. King John I mentioned at the beginning, “grace to God…” putting God first in the writing of this important document. The Magna Carta was the beginnings of religious freedom to worship God after the formation of the Church of Rome. In a spiritual sense, the Magna Carta opens the door for religious freedom from traditionalism and deception to the truth of God’s Word.
The Magna Carta, a cornerstone of liberty, was sealed at a place called Runnymede in England. Runnymede was an attractive, wooded area. It was a meadow near a river and also near a busy street. Today, Runnymede Lane is located in the King’s Grant subdivision—a wooded area between the Ashley River and Dorchester Road.
From the Past to the Present: The Spiritual Significance of History
The Pilgrims came to America so they could enjoy the freedom to worship the way they desired. They came to South Carolina to spread the gospel throughout the plantations. They chose Dorchester as the place to build on God’s word. Summerville was founded as a place of refuge and healing. King’s Grant was developed with direct references to England, including Runnymede Lane, which refers to the place where the Magna Carta was signed.
In the Scriptures, Mt. Zion was the place where the glory (esteem) of Elohim dwelled. It was place of refuge, healing, provision, and worship. Now God is establishing a ‘spiritual’ Mt. Zion. He has chosen Summerville, South Carolina in Dorchester County to be a spiritual Mt. Zion—a place of prayer, provision, and protection. This place has a sound spiritual foundation and a historical significance of refuge and healing. Elohim (God) can dwell wherever He chooses, in as many places as He chooses. This place of Summerville, South Carolina is definitely a place He has chosen.
My husband Michael and I (Ruth) have resided in Summerville, South Carolina for the past eleven years. God led our family to move to this location from North Charleston on September 1,1998. We have lived several places while on our spiritual journey, but this place seems to be the most significant. Even though this has been a place of many struggles, we had to continue our journey into His Kingdom. It is here that our spiritual journey came to completion. We believed that God had chosen this place and now understand why. Our home on Runnymede Lane turned out to be the very place we received deliverance from the oppressions of this world through God our Father. We have received spiritual (religious) freedom to worship our God, whose Name is YAH (Ps. 68:4), according to the Scriptures and not according to the traditions of man. God granted us freedom from falsehood and the oppressions of the devil, when we believed and obeyed the truth. He granted us the freedom to worship Him in Spirit and Truth in the way He wills. We were attacked by the enemy for the last 17 years of our walk until our faith (belief) was established by YAH, our Elohim. Through the Messiah Yahushuah, we defeated the devil's work of oppression out of our lives, and now through prayers, we are setting others free. We received our freedom in the place built upon a solid history of religious freedom. The spiritual Magna Carta was enforced in our lives centuries after the original one. Spiritual (Religious) freedom came to Runnymede once again—not in England, but in Summerville, South Carolina. Surely this was a plan of God.
Believing in Yahushuah, the Son of the Living Elohim, grants us life and freedom, but it takes much more to receive a ‘good’ life. We must complete a spiritual journey seeking the Kingdom of God and come out of the world’s religious system in order to receive freedom from oppression and a ‘good’ life. The good life we receive in the end is a higher level of prosperity and a better life style where we will never again suffer lack.
Those who have endured to complete the journey have been put in position to save the lives of many during the times of God’s judgments on the earth. If you will no longer suffer lack, then all those with you will have bread and provisions and not suffer lack. This is a principle of God. My family and I (the Dunns) have endured to the end and completed our journey. God has granted us victory and caused us to be established as a Mt. Zion—a place of refuge, a booth for shade from the heat, and a place of bread and provisions. Our ministry, Family of Messiah Fellowship, has been established as a House of Prayer for all nations. We are established as Mt. Zion to carry out God’s lovingkindness on the earth in the midst of His wrath. When His judgment comes upon the earth, not all people will starve, become sick or die. God said He will save a handful, and we thank Him that we are apart of that handful. The provisions He gives us will be able to be shared with many who are in need, and because God hears our prayers, many will be saved.
Past, Present, & Future: Establishing a Plan
We are living in the last of days. We see evil and wickedness all around us. God’s wrath is coming to strike the earth because the earth has become defiled from the evil and sins of man. God will wage war against the devil and all his company. The end is very near, yet none of us knows the exact date of the final end. If God chooses to reveal the time He will strike, He will only reveal it to His chosen assemblies.
The Plan
We have entered the tribulation period, which leads up to the ‘Great Tribulation’ when God’s wrath goes out to the world. God has set up a place of refuge for His people, a place for all His true believers to receive provision and protection. Places of refuge may be located throughout America and other parts of the world, but we know for certain that we have been prepared as a place of refuge here in Summerville, South Carolina. We are established as a ‘spiritual’ Mt. Zion, a chosen New Jerusalem. Sacrifices of prayer and praise are made and accepted by God. A spiritual wall of defense has been erected—a 24-hour prayer watch. Summerville, the place historically chosen as a place of refuge from the heat and diseases and a place of healing, has once again become a place of refuge—spiritually.
This spiritual Mt. Zion has also been established as place of spiritual warfare. In history, Fort Dorchester was located in the area of Summerville and was a very significant establishment during the Revolutionary War. It served as a back up for Charles Town and housed stores of gunpowder and ammunition. No fighting came to Dorchester.
Spiritually, we are the back-up support not only for our surrounding area, but also for Israel and the entire world. Our ammunition is the power of the Holy Spirit and prayer. We will blow the trumpets and prepare for the spiritual battles that are on the horizon. The Islamic groups are calling for a Holy War against America and Israel. God has been preparing us to be ready for such an influx of evil. The war we are preparing to fight is not of flesh and blood, but a war against the army of the devil, against spirits of wickedness and darkness. It is a spiritual battle. We prayed on Mt. We are an assembly of righteous people chosen by Elohim-Yahuah to be on the frontline in this end time period. Our Assembly in Summerville is ready to fight using the word of YAH (God). We are equipped through the Holy Spirit and shielded in truth through obedience of Scripture.
God has chosen the Country, the State, the County, the Town, the Subdivision, the street, the people: United States, South Carolina, Dorchester County, Summerville, King’s Grant, Runnymede Lane, and Family of Messiah Fellowship.
America and Israel the Covenant
Years ago America chose Israel to be their ally. To be an ally one country must enter a formal agreement to unite, make marriage, or bind together to be a supporter or helper. There is a formal union between America and Israel and when two are joined together they become one. I believe that the State of Israel belongs to the United States. When America came into agreement with Israel, America spiritually became one with Israel. Israelis call the United States in Hebrew ‘Artsot Habrit,’ meaning ‘Countries (or lands) of the Covenant.’ America’s alliance with Israel is different from its other alliances because God is involved in this union. Israel is God’s chosen people and His chosen land.
America and Israel are one:
God has chosen South Carolina, which is located on the same lines of latitude as the state of Israel (from Northern Florida to Charleston, South Carolina). Yah is judging the world for sin. God has chosen America, a land of freedom, to be in covenant with Israel. Israel and America will come together. There are approximately 6.5 million Jews (Yehudim) in America and more than 4.9 million in Israel, while another 2 million are spread throughout the world. God intends to bring them all together once again. In Biblical history, God dispersed ten tribes and preserved two. The ten tribes are called ‘Ephraim;’ the two that remained are Judah and Benjamin. In the story of Joseph, Judah brought Benjamin to Egypt to join the rest of the tribes of Israel. Joseph was in Egypt ahead of the others. He spent 15 years as a slave and prisoner in the land, and was then raised up by God to be second in command over all Egypt. Joseph’s journey made provisions available in Egypt. God had prepared him to save the Children of Israel from the time of famine. All of Israel came and reunited with Joseph and enjoyed the land of Goshen.
God will later restore all Israel to their land in peace and rest after the Messiah’s return is completed and our enemies are subdued.
Our Mission:
- Reach the world for YAH. A Decree given by Elohim, for repentance and deliverance through belief in Yahushuah, the Son of God, has gone forth. The Decree was given to warn the world of the coming wrath of God. Everyone in the world must be warned!
- Intercede for Jews and Gentiles all over the world, beginning at Jerusalem. We will daily offer up prayers of intercession and deliverance for all.
- Be a shelter from the storm--a place of refuge, healing, deliverance, and provision for all.
- Build a House of Prayer for all people. Acquire land and begin construction to build the House of God on the selected site (HWY 165 / Bacon’s Bridge Rd.)
- Prepare for the Great Distress. Acquire warehouses to fill with provisions for the disasters to come, such as food, water, clothing, and emergency equipment--all the necessary means to survive a catastrophe.
- Build a Prayer Wall of Defense. All people of Elohim who are called and chosen will take part in this Army of Elohim. Prayers will be made continually--24 hours a day, everyday--while the work of Elohim continues (warning the world to turn to YAH). The prayer team will 'build the wall of defense'--building and fighting--the days of Nehemiah once again.
Appeal to the Nobles:
Eternal partners are needed. We are a called-out nation. God has given to this Assembly the Ruler’s staff and the anointing to prepare to fight in this holy battle against our enemies. When Ezra was called to rebuild the Temple of God, he first went before the King. Nehemiah also went before the King when it was time to repair the walls of Jerusalem. Even Esther went before the King to save her people. Now it is time for us to go before the nobles to ask for help in saving the people of Elohim in Israel and the rest of the world. God may have blessed you all these years for such a time as now. This is an opportunity to lay up your treasures in Heaven, by helping us to do this great work. Your treasures in heaven cannot fail, like it does on the earth.
In the history of the church in Summerville, a wealthy noble helped the missionaries acquire the land they needed to build the church. These missionaries built in the same area God has called us to build hundreds of years later. We are not simply making 'a new church building.' We are a nation spiritually built on Mt. Zion and prepared to be a place of refuge and a House of Prayer for all nations. Everyone in our surrounding area and the entire country will be blessed because God has chosen this place. All those who come under this covering--regardless of where they are in the world--will be covered by the Presence of Elohim and be protected in the coming days. Please help us to do this great work, so that you and your family will live and have no lack in the Day of His wrath, for this day is quickly approaching.
The Father is preparing the City of Summerville for all the people who will be migrating here in the coming days. The number of homes has grown tremendously in the past few years and continues to grow at an astonishing rate. All of these planned dwellings will be filled in the next couple years and even more will be needed. It is all a part of God’s Divine Plan of Loving-Kindness!
