Leviticus 16:29-30
“And this shall be for you a law forever: In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you afflict your beings, and do no work, the native or the stranger who sojourns among you. For on that day He makes atonement for you, to cleanse you, to be clean from all your sins before יהוה "
We are Yahudim - worshippers of יהוה [Yahuah] and as His worshippers, we will not only learn His commands, but commit our lives to obey them through the Messiah Yahushuah. We at the set-apart place have received atonement from the blood of Yahushuah through our belief in Him. Our atonement has been completed through the Messiah of Israel.
Therefore, this year, we will observe the Yom Kippur commands in remembrance of the sufferings that the Messiah Yahushuah went through for our blood atonement (salvation). We will fast to afflict our beings according to scripture remembering Yahushuah and what He did for all mankind.
We will repent, confess our sins, and pray for YAH to seal our names in the Book of Life for a good year. We will commit to prayer and fasting for all those who are now just returning to YAH to seek His way and for all of the Jews who have not accepted the Messiah Yahushuah as their Savior and all of Israel. We are also interceding and making atonement for this house of YAH, our local set-apart place of worship.
The Instructions from Torah: Blood atonement of the Lamb
Exo 12:21 And Mosheh called for all the elders of Yisra’ĕl and said to them, “Go out and take lambs for yourselves according to your clans, and slaughter the Passover lamb.
Exo 12:22 “And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin, and you, none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning.
Exo 12:23 “And יהוה shall pass on to smite the Mitsrites, and shall see the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, and יהוה shall pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to smite you.
Exo 12:24 “And you shall guard this word as a law for you and your sons, forever. (Ex.12:21-24)
In the Reign of Elohim (the Promised Land) we are to observe this law forever:
Exo 12:25 “And it shall be, when you come to the land which יהוה gives you, as He promised, that you shall guard this service.
Exo 12:26 “And it shall be, when your children say to you, ‘What does this service mean to you?’
Exo 12:27 then you shall say, ‘It is the Passover slaughtering of יהוה, who passed over the houses of the children of Yisra’ĕl in Mitsrayim when He smote the Mitsrites and delivered our households.’ ” And the people bowed their heads and did obeisance.
The Messiah's Fulfillment:
MESSIAH YAHUSHUAH IS OUR ATONEMENT: At the Passover (Pesach), our Messiah was impaled and shed His blood for the forgiveness of sins. His blood was the completeness of the blood of the lamb that YAH told Moses to tell the people to sprinkle upon the doorpost and lintels of their homes. When they sprinkled the blood of the lamb upon their houses, a spiritual covering came over them and protected them from death. This covering was their atonement which caused death to pass over. The people were spared because of the blood, sustaining their life. The laws of the Torah command pointed toYahushuah, for He is the true Lamb of Elohim who came to take away the sins of the world. His death on the stake opened the door for us to recieve life and to enter into the Promised Land.
We must believe in Him--that He was sent by Elohim and was resurrected from the dead on the third day and now is alive forever more.
When He was raised from the dead by Elohim, He caused us to pass from death to life breaking all the curses of the devil by defeating him.
Yahushuah the Son of Elohim was impaled:
Luk 23:44 And it was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over all the land, until the ninth hour.
Luk 23:45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the Dwelling Place was torn in two.
Luk 23:46 And crying out with a loud voice, יהושע said, “Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.” And having said this, He breathed His last.
Luk 23:47 And the captain, seeing what took place, praised Elohim, saying, “Truly, this Man was righteous!”
His blood for our atonement:
Rom 3:25 whom Elohim set forth as an atonement, through belief in His blood, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His tolerance Elohim had passed over the sins that had taken place before,
Heb 2:17 So in every way He had to be made like His brothers, in order to become a compassionate and trustworthy High Priest in matters related to Elohim, to make atonement for the sins of the people.
1Co 10:16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a sharing in the blood of Messiah? The bread that we break, is it not a sharing in the body of Messiah?
Eph 2:13 But now in Messiah יהושע you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of the Messiah.
Heb 9:14 how much more shall the blood of the Messiah, who through the everlasting Spirit offered Himself unblemished to Elohim, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living Elohim?
1Pe 1:18 knowing that you were redeemed from your futile way of life inherited from your fathers, not with what is corruptible, silver or gold,
1Pe 1:19 but with the precious blood of Messiah, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless,
1Pe 1:20 foreknown, indeed, before the foundation of the world, but manifested in these last times for your sakes,
1Pe 1:21 who through Him believe in Elohim who raised Him from the dead and gave Him esteem, so that your belief and expectation are in Elohim.
KEEPING YOM KIPPUR IN THE REIGN OF ELOHIM-THE PROMISED LAND
The 10th day of of the seventh month corresponds to 9/28/09.
We will obey YAH's command to set-apart the day of atonement as written in Wayy/Lev.16:29-30 also written above.
There are 10 days from Yom Teruah to Yom Kippur. Ten days from the Day of Trumpets, which we have celebrated as our return from Babylon (Babel) to New Yerushalayim, because our sins have been forgiven. We prayed at the time of Yom Teruah that our names be inscribed into the Book of Life for blessings and favor by YAH for a good year, a good life. A life of prosperity and good health is what comes from YAH upon us when we observe His set-apart days according to His appointed times, and He grants us forgiveness and favor.
We will confess and repent of our sins and seek YAH diligently for 10 days until He seals our Name in His Register, the Book of Life, for a good and blessed year. Our sins have been erased.

On Yom Kippur, if this is your first observance, read the booklet (on the Resource page) beginning on the eve of Sept. 27th, and pray that YAH will give you understanding. You must be extremely serious about living a new life that is free from sin. The Messiah is not going to be impaled again for us. His death brought redemption to our souls, and we must not take this likely. He gave His life for us, therefore we must give our lives to Him, to serve YAHUAH with belief.
Take a Mikvah (an anointed bath) to cleanse your body of all uncleaness. It is recommended that we cleanse ourselves completely.
On the eve of the 27th, for those who will be in the Set-apart Assembly, the service as you know is conducted from above as we go through the booklet. We will concentrate more on the remembrance of Messiah's blood that He shed for our sins. We will fast in remembrance of the Messiah and for our Jewish brothers and sisters. We will pray and ask forgiveness of our sins, the sins of our parents, and the sins of our forefathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
We will intercede for all the Jews who will be observing this day, who have not accepted the true Messiah Yahushuah, that Elohim will forgive them of their sins and have compassion on them and on all Israel. We will pray for the harvest of souls that are coming back to true belief in the Messiah Yahushuah.
